Hi there, Coyoda here (what I go by now, though it's hard for me to shake my old username on vizzed), it's been a long time since I've been back on Vizzed.com.
I figured I'd leave a little feedback, a question, and even room for discussion about the HTML integration for Vizzed with the Retroarch HTML5 and EmulatorJS. Feedback So, I used it as in on PC upon my return to the website and saw that each one had their advantages and disadvantages. Mainly that with Retroarch (and I did try Emularity for a sec too), it is stuck in a smaller screen size which reminds me of the old RGR plugin days. Though, you have a ton more options what with slow motion, fast forward, save states, frame advancing, etc. With EmulatorJS, you have a few less options but you do get to resize the window as big as you want and it also seems to run pretty well overall. This one so far is my preferred way to play on vizzed now. Anyone could really enjoy this since there's no set up involved and you can just play. Otherwise, I think this is a really cool step forward for Vizzed.com and appreciate all David has done, especially keeping this awesome website alive. However, I read in the read more section about the RGR plugin and what happened to it, only to find out that the HTML integration even works with Mobile. So, I tried it on my iOS and with a little fiddling between horizontal and vertical screen orientation, the game shows up out of its black screen, while EmulatorJS just starts up with no issue. But, I unfortunately ran into issues with both emulators. Now, I only did test Mega Man X, but what I encountered with Retroarch HTML5 was that the game had no audio and was running at around 360~FPS! I was surprised since this didn't occur with EmulatorJS. I tried to look through the options I could click on to see if there was a frame limiter and also messed with the volume buttons and mute buttons but to no avail unfortunately. When I opened up the Retroarch GUI menu, I also couldn't interact with the menu (though I was able to do so on PC, just not on iphone.) So, unfortunately, it wasn't possible for me to really do much with Mega Man X on Retroarch HTML5 because the speed was out of control. With EmulatorJS on the other hand, it ran perfectly fine, and the audio sounded incredible. Though, the issue with this time was instead that when I interacted with the touch controls, it would zoom right into the touch controls. So I thought, ok, let's check my iphone settings, but all and every one of my zoom settings and accessibility settings, are all turned off. So I thought, maybe there's settings I can change with the safari browser? But I couldn't find any such setting to do with double tap zooming. Then I tried Chrome browser, but had the same issue of double tapping one of the buttons and everything zooming in toward that control. I searched online on google but also couldn't find any solution to that. So I guess for now, playing on mobile, for myself, is out of the question, which yeah, some of these games would most certainly be better on controller anyway, but even then, the idea of being able to play on vizzed from my phone is still a pretty cool idea. The question(s) I don't know if there is a solution for my above issues in the last 3 paragraphs but is there some way to FPS limit the retroarch html5? Does anyone have a zoom issue happen after double tapping one of the buttons in EmulatorJS? Maybe it wasn't entirely intended to work on mobile but, if it was, maybe iOS is just a bad fit for Vizzed and Android works better I might imagine. I couldn't find any talk on the vizzed board about it though after searching through some pages, unless I checked the wrong categories. The discussion Regardless, if you happened along this post, then what do you think so far of the emulators? Find any cool things that you can do with them to enhance your play session? Which emulator do you find best for yourself? And have you ever tried bluetooth with a controller on your mobile phone to see if it would pick up on the emulator? Bloody Roar Primal Fury was definitely one of my most favorite games to play on GameCube even to this day. No where would you find deeper fighting game mechanics at the time and on my YouTube channel, I came back to it and discovered there was even more secret mechanics that just changed everything I knew about the game. Of the franchise, bloody roar primal fury/extreme is seen as the definitive edition of the third game thanks to all the awesome tweaks and things they added to the game. Sadly, I’d bloody roar 5 were ever made, I don’t believe it would ever have the insane mechanics it would have while still somehow finding a way to balance around all of that. It would probsbly be heavily streamlined unless Eighting specifically helped with it while looking back to what they did on Primal Fury. |

For me. I don't want to trade in my PS4 for a PS4 Pro because I've really been thinking about getting a Nintendo Switch. With all the games coming out for it, it's been driving me up a wall with a lot of convincing titles I'd love.
Otherwise, I once traded away Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring long ago as a child and I will never make that same mistake again. I bought a fresh copy from New York Games when I visited New York once and I shall care for it with love and never set it out into the wild. Davideo7 : Wow! Really love the new profile system! And it's nice to see you again dude!
The new profile system certainly does allow for customization and feels simpler to edit everything. In fact, I came back a few days ago after such a long time and was wondering how to re-work my profile info, and you cam along and saved the day! I need to do a little more editing later when it's not late for me, but thank you for all the changes you've made! Been a long time since I've been back on Vizzed, and I'm wondering what's new around here now. Otherwise, I went out with the family to eat and what not. We hit two locations and mostly just walked around looking at things. While we didn't do nothing much, I think the important part is that we got out and did something, you know? Regardless, I'm planning on hearing plenty of fireworks over here tonight. |

TheMonsterAtlas : I too also have this problem and this problem only occurs with Mednafen. If you double-click the screen, you'll get a message saying "No Controller buttons to input for port 1" or something like that. I just tested playstation and this didn't happen. But it does happen with SNES. |

Welcome to Vizzed.com dude. I hope you enjoy your time here and have plenty of fun with the boards and the games. Everyone's pretty nice and it's a safe environment so you don't need to worry much about meanie flamers and what not attacking you. Of course, since we chat on google hangouts, I can provide help through there, but any questions that I might not be able to answer, we have a pretty good staff team in the boards who can answer them. |

mourinhosgum : yeah, rcarter2 would be more experienced. I really don't know what made me jump on the tallying thing. I guess it's because I happened to see it late at night and hoped to have my chance to shine in a way I haven't. Though, looks like I still need a little more polishing to be shiny. |

Davideo7 : WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!? -face palm- Ugh, I'm a failure at life. I'm so sorry. I watched through each one and the rule about who completed faster flew over my head. I read it, and then as I was putting the scores up and double checking, I forgot about it and accidentally gave them both a point. I had it write the first itme before i posted. I'm a freaking idiot.
I'm going to stay away from helping with tallies at late nights because that was such an easy thing to not miss. In fact, now I just feel too stupid to even help with tallies. I clearly can't do anything right but game reviews. I really wanted to help in other way but it seems all I know are videos and reviews. I apologize profusely, I won't let it happen again by not doing it again. I don't want to make the same mistake twice.
