Zelda A Link To The Past is what I prefer. Game play is similar to the original, compared to Zelda II. On top of that, there's more items, challenges, more stuff to do, which makes it a better game. Zelda II always seem similar to Dragon Warrior, in my opinion. The way you travel in the over world makes it feel like Dragon Warrior.

I prefer Zelda 1, even though I played Zelda 2 for a few minutes. Still, I think Zelda 1 is better in my opinion due to the fact that it's 100% overhead perspective, which most 2D Zelda games have. While in Zelda 2, is only overhead perspective while traveling in the over world.
