Like... instead of saying "what's your favorite pokemon?" people create a new thread saying "what's your favorite pokemon from generation I?"

To be honest, couldn't you have just made your previous thread into an extended thing like "what's your favorite pokemon for each generation and then what is your overall favorite pokemon?"

Seriously earthwarrior, you sound like you'd be a really bad parent... no offense man, but patting your child on the head every time they do something wrong isn't going to make them do something right. Sometimes you just got to smack that kid on the butt and tell them "no", like yeah... a thread and forum site isn't the same, but you should understand the logic... I'm pretty sure you are much older than me, plus you've been here longer than me.

This has nothing to do with how much I post, I'd be glad with just at least 50 words in their post... that way there is something to actually reply to besides "so, I like pokemon... how about you?".

Plus, if there are kids who are like 8 years old or younger on here... and there are MATURE games on here with profanity and such, wouldn't that be kind of contradicting? I mean, how do you know someone on here hasn't put their age to like 18 or something just so people wouldn't think they are 13 or younger?

And then, jumping on me for "flaming"... wow, way to try and change the subject man. All I see in your post is you trying to change the subject... I'm just saying, wouldn't it reduce the number of USELESS posts if they were made to be a little more "extended"... that way, I don't know... maybe these "children" can like use their brains.

Perfect example you are setting for our younger members "don't do any kind of work, we'll still pat you on the head and tell you it's okay." Heck, sure mine is saying "work hard or you won't get anything"... but at least it motivates them to use their brains, rather than go "okay, I guess I can just post 10 words or less every time and nobody will mind."

I'm pretty sure the moderators here are really tired of being called for every post that is like... shorter than a strand of hair on my head. Plus, I see you people comment on their posts posting LOCAL MODS and such... so don't give me that BS, you guys spend just as much time bringing this problem to the local mods as I do trying to hopefully decrease the lack of determination and attention.

austipokedude: It costs about 10 Viz to make a thread, and you can earn about 10 Viz replying to one... it kind of balances itself out, if you know what I mean.

I just figured, common sense should tell us to actually "TRY" to post something... not just say something random and hope people reply to us. Heck, that space they take up with their thread that just randomly shows up is kind of like "you know, someone else could have been there, but instead you took the "new post" spot".

Get what I'm saying... basically, it's hard enough to reply to new posts (when most of them are just threads being bumped over and over again)... but it's also more annoying to see most of the new posts are newbies with less than 20 words in their post. Like I said, I understand that we should be "nice" to them and all... but they should like, I don't know... learn to read the rules you know?

So, for the past 3 or so days... I've been watching people on here begin to post shorter and shorter, now... I understand that 90% of those people are newbies, but even so... we are starting to get too many newbies starting threads with LESS than 20 words now.

And most of them are automatically trying to do reviews and all they put is:

"I like this game. It was fun. I had a good time. It was hard."

And it's just like...

I mean come on, many of you are telling me "I should be easier on these newbies"... may I remind you that I was only a newbie 5-7 days ago, and I had already earned up 1000 Contribution Points in 4 days and all (or at least MOST) of my posts were around 100 words or more (except for the small "minor" replies to other peoples threads).

But I mean seriously, if you start your own thread... I believe the word requirement should be at least 50+ or more... that way it's not just "I like pokemon, how about you?" And newbies shouldn't be able to create reviews should automatically be deleted if they are less than 100 words, cause otherwise you're allowing them to break the rules and that's kind of unfair to the rest of us... you can't go easy on someone just because they are new.

Sure, you can't compare it to sports... but in a way you can. The only way they will get better is if you push them and encourage them that they can do better... not by hugging them and saying "better luck next time". Psh, what's wrong with you all...?

Like, I want to feel sorry for them and all... but how can I go easy on people who don't even READ the rules? Heck, I didn't even read the rules and I knew ahead of time "if I post something stupid, people are going to be nagging on me for a long time because I posted something a**nine."

Like, where's the common sense on here people... you can't just keep being easy on people, that's why so many people keep doing the same thing wrong over and over again. Heck, I even started making a few "nice" replies explaining that their posts should contain at least 50 words and add some of your own character to it, add your opinions and your feelings about the game, give us your personal insight... but no, doing that didn't fix anything... so, when is there going to be a way to finally fix the whole "newbie spamming" going on?

Heck, most of them when they do a review... they don't even give information about the game, let alone any parts of it... it's generally 50 words or less saying: "I really enjoyed playing this game, it was much different from the other games and I think you should play it."

I mean seriously... doesn't anyone else see the logic in fixing the newbie posting concept, cause otherwise our moderators are also going to have to keep being contacted cause newbies are going to keep posting SHORT reviews.

Isn't a review supposed to be 100 words or more... and yet, most of them post less than 30, and maybe a little more than 20.


Sure, we don't want to drive them away... but at the same time, babysitting them isn't going to make them go "oh, maybe I should post more." Heck, someone else on here I gave some advice to and said "you should try to increase your post size, give us maybe some opinions or feelings about the game"... and it's been a while now (almost an hour or so) and nothing changed, all I got in response was "oh, I like pokemon"

And I'm just like "you kidding me?"

Sure yeah, I don't have to reply to these posts... but if you want me to be nice to these newbies, these newbies should like... I don't know... READ THE RULES, hmmm?

Heck, even this posts is about 500+ words long... and I didn't even put much thought into it.

Once again, another awesome review mohammedroxx3... but you should add just a little more information per each section... like yeah sure, it's probably exactly like the original... but more "in-depth" opinions are accepted as well Remember, the more you post... the more you earn, so try to extend your post as long as possible with some insight and personal opinion.

Even though that game is like 3 years old or something, but you know... got to hand it, some people might be gaming in reverse... playing the newer stuff first and then going back to everything else.

I like how 99% of us picked Sonic... simply because that's probably the only one we can really relate to nowadays.

Well, depending on the game... yeah sure. But to be honest, what I really wanted to do since I started using youtube was to upload my game plays onto that site for others to enjoy and comment on... but at the same time, I don't exactly have the money for the equipment nor the computer properties to run that kind of software... so yeah, unable to do that.

But yeah, when it comes to certain games... it does help when I have like a friend watching me, they often tell me I'm a moron and that I'm doing it wrong... then they point out what I did wrong. Good times, good times.

You ever notice how most of these medical based commercials often have some kind of warning saying:

Then for like a minute, you're sitting there as it processes through your brain... then right at the end suddenly you remember "or death... call us now."
