Personally, I appreciate this feature coming back, even if it's not in its original form. I remember doing a lot of work for the site doing RGR gameplay recordings in the past, though I also remember that being the cause of my burnout in the past.

I would like to apply as well, though I also would like some more information on what is or is not allowed.

-Is commentary allowed? (If it is, I assume keep it family friendly, naturally.)
-Are VoDs of livestreams allowed?
-Are webcams permitted? (I don't intend to, but that ties in to livestream VoDs.)
-Is there a forum post requirement tied to logging in to Vizzed? (I can always log in to check news posts and the like, but I haven't really been active in the forums at all lately, mostly just stick to digging in the RGR.)

For the most part, just seeking guidelines on content requirements for these videos.

*hits preview post* ...jeez, I really need to get a new post background, much as I love this one, it doesn't fit the new page width...

Wow, I remember you. I remember the time we spent with Sword Legion's Star Fox RP. Hadn't seen you on Skype for a long time, so I wondered what happened, but it's great to see you've found a career you enjoy. ^^

If you have time to chat someday, my Skype's still open, though I also have a Discord. (PM me if you have it and want that info.)

Last achievement I got was Get a Life on Terraria (Steam), for consuming a life fruit for the first time.

I've been playing it off and on with a friend and not really playing by myself, last thing we did was search out chlorophyte to prepare for Plantera.

Seconding what Pacman+Mariofan said. I've been trying to upload a couple videos myself now and, other than triggering the "accept the ToS" error if you forget to check the box, the upload button appears to do nothing.

So one of the big reasons why I stopped recording videos in the RGR has to do with the recording bit itself. For whatever reason, the videos saved out through the codec (before I even send them in to Freemake to convert them) cause lag in Windows Explorer and cause one of the COM Surrogate tasks in Task Manager to heavily spike in CPU usage, to the point where it freezes that particular window of Windows Explorer. If left alone for a long enough period, Explorer gets so bad that I have to restart it and force quit COM Surrogate through the task manager.

I do not know what might be causing it, but I do know that this instance of COM Surrogate is responsible for handling image previews when going through Windows Explorer. Just one video makes the CPU usage spike quite a bit; having to go through a folder of several 2 hour recordings makes it difficult to delete old stuff without just deleting the entire folder and never going to what's inside it.

I would suspect it only happens to me because I had this issue on a computer that existed since the XP era, but I tried to record a video a couple months ago on a computer I had built earlier this year and got the same problem. This leaves me to wonder, is it the recording software's output? Is it Windows just not liking video previews in general? Is it the size of the videos due to me recording 2 hours at a time?

It was saddening going through the votes, seeing less than a full page of people voting. I haven't been active much myself either, partly because I forgot about the site again, partly because I've been burnt out on retro games so I don't even hang in the RGR anymore. Maybe in 2018, if the position opens up again, I might try to get my job of video creating back again (though we need to fix that recording bit in the plug-in).

Since it wasn't posted, the thread awards are as follows:

Greatest Thread - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=86200
Greatest Post - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=99277&ppp=20&page=0#1340010
Funniest Thread - (No votes)
Greatest Old Thread - (No votes)
Craziest Thread - (No votes)

Best Review - (No votes)
Best Guide - (No votes)

There was only one vote for the Greatest Thread and Greatest Post categories.

Edit: I have to point out, last year Leggy made a comment that it's pretty hard to unseat David as the most famous member without cheating, since he makes himself eligible for awards. Funny that he lost the award to sweaty baby this year.

I would just like to point out (whether David is still looking into this thread or not) that Hitbox had a name change some time ago to Smashcast; all links related to that streaming site now redirect to smashcast.tv instead.

Davideo7 : Summoning you in the hopes you see this. I don't stream much at all anymore, but this might have gotten some Hitbox streamers disconnected from the script unintentionally.

Sorry, but I haven't been around Vizzed very much lately, if at all. I'll have to pass on this one.

Good luck to the rest of you, though.

Filled out my report, I got it from one of the removed RGR games on a page I haven't closed in forever.

I'm namely referring to the Navigation pane that you see on the new version of the site layout. I don't know if this is only affected by Elites, but for some reason, I can view this link, which is listed as a Staff specific link on the Navigation pane. Granted, I can't actually DO anything on this page other than view it, but given its listing, could seeing that link at all be a bug?

On a side note, if we really shouldn't have access to that page, please remove that link from my post. I figure linking it is necessary because otherwise one might think I refer to the one accessible from the profile page.

Davideo7 : That would be interesting to see. However, keep in mind that the length of songs in Mario Paint is still limited; if you've run into Mario Paint renditions of songs that look like they loop to the start of a new line of music that's completely different from the first, those were made using a different program, Mario Paint only supports however far it decides to go, which is probably the most it can save in SRAM.

Davideo7 : I personally haven't, but would like to give it a go sometime soon. I had a hankering to try and recreate some of the Phoenix Wright themes in the Mario Paint composer.

Guy A. Person : Fair enough. Good luck with the Mega Man X sprite.
