Here in PA it was 80°F yesterday and 60°F today. I have no explanation why this is, only that it's because it's PA.

I expected a rickroll. Instead, an actual parody. Nice work, my expectations have been raised.

Followed a few days ago as GreenLeafStreaming, even suggested some songs to it too from some of my favorite PS1 games. Really dig the whole thing.

Upon looking further at Reicast, it's very strange that the emulator is only for Android. Personally I think it would make more sense to have it on PC and then the phone but well, I am only an observer.

Kinda funny how a phone is now as powerful, if not more powerful than a Dreamcast,

So I figured I'd try Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast today, and while the nostalgia of the Dreamcast logo popping up was comforting, I did not know that something would be...off. After starting the game I've discovered that the graphical aspects of the game are very, wonky and almost screen covering, and while the game runs and sounds fine, these graphical errors I can only imagine get worse, and as I've read up on a topic that details a similar issue with the graphics, they do. I am well aware that it's the NullDC emulator itself that is causing these issues, and after doing a little research, discovered that not only is the emulator's last build dated to September of 2011, but that it's creator has gone on some kind of indefinite hiatus. I am writing this thread to ask if we have considered using the Reicast emulator (which is NullDCs replacement...at least according to Wikipedia) or another Dreamcast emulator if there is another one out there? I am asking on account of personal curiosity and overall Dreamcast game appearance.

Huzzah! I've been wanting to work towards getting that PS emulator because my mom used to play Parasite Eve but getting a copy of the game is really expensive, so I told her about this site and she's excited about what you guys do here, and that there is a PS1 emulator. She's encouraged me to try and earn more Viz to get the emulator, and this makes it much easier.

Now if only I had a working controller. One thing at a time I guess.

Totally cool! I'll have to do some recordings and try out the up-loader sometime in the near future.

My thought is that he is always doing finger guns and people are just weirded out by this.

gamerforlifeforever : Oh, well alright then. I must've overlooked that stipulation or just not known about it. My bad.

fightorace : While not my first review, it is my first expanded on review on a game that I really enjoy. I can see where you think it's rushed and I understand that thinking about my actions while writing it. Guess hype does that to ya.

I'll work on getting better at writing reviews where I see need to put one, as most games I'm going through right now  are part of my physical collection and I haven't played some in a while, so I don't exactly have a fresh view on them and thus can't review them to the best of my ability. Albeit now that I say that and think that Road Trip hasn't been played in a while, I still know I got the core parts down but will work on future reviews to expand upon those kind of core parts.

As the game that introduced me to the PS2 era, I had to give this game a review. I'll try and cover each section I rated.

For graphics, they're kinda kooky and cartoon-y, but it's entertaining for all ages.

The sound, as far as sound effects, they were decently realistic, but the music is where I keep the score high. Will never get the Push King's The Minute out of my head thanks to this game (not that that's a bad thing of course).

The addictiveness to me, well this game is highly addictive, in that it's not just a racing game but it's an open world racing game with people (well cars) to talk to so you never know what you'll find in the game.

The story, alright here's the story, you're just a random little car in a place called Peach Town, probably getting a tune up or something because you drove into the Mechanics. Well as you're getting worked on, the mechanic tells you, "Yo, there's this big racing tournament going on because the President of our world is tired of being the president, and whoever races up the ladder and beats him gets to be the President." And so you set off on an adventure to become the very best racer but also get to make friends and do side quests throughout the game.

As for the depth, well like I said it's an Open World Racing game and I feel like it was one of the beginners in that area and I applaud it for being so. Like I said, there's side quests, there's racing, there's even little mini-games like golfing and soccer. You ever hit an over sized golf ball or soccer ball with a car before? No you haven't. That's why I love it's depth.

The game wasn't too difficult but it wasn't exactly a walk in the park either. If you weren't well prepared for racers, cars would zip by you once the race started and it'd be almost impossible to catch up, but it still had races that gave you leeway to earn up money to get to the more challenging races (did I forget to mention you can name your own money too? How cool is that!)

All in all, this game gets my 10/10, would nostalgia and show my kids forever.
