Geometry Dash is one of those games you just happened to find. You could see it one day and probably buy it. What makes this game good is that if you like rhythm based games. This is your go to game! Keep in mind another update is in the making so this review may be out of date in the future.

Graphics:  The graphics are okay. Now when the game started out it was kind of bland and such but now its so beautiful. The old levels aren't that pretty and you can still play them but the effects they have is awesome. Even in the old and new levels blocks disappear, move. Fall down and rise up. There are also different forms as when your a cube you jump over the notorious spikes of doom but then monsters pits and so on. There are ships, spiders, and many more we will cover along soon. The graphics get better and better each update. Of course cause its the modern age retro graphics and its 2-D style doesn't compete with graphics on today's games for computers.. But I like its style so it gets an 8 out of 10.

Sound:  It would be a weird thing to complain about the songs. The songs match with the level! You see there is no sound effect at all other then the title screen and selecting levels or unlocking something or you when you die but the music matches it perfectly! It adds a jump effect and goes on beat with whatever is happening. Robtop Games did a outstanding job nailing it. That's why its a rhythm based platformer. The songs can be jolly, spooky, intimidating, or epic. They are so catchy you will not forget the songs so aisle. So without effects but music that matches jumping and ends when you beat a level, how can you not be glad. There are even funky tunes or my favorite Polorgeist which is the 3rd level has a awesome tune. You will never doubt music again in this game as it is pretty much what makes it good!

Addictiveness:  You can definitely play this game again as it is the same but has collectibles. Coins as collectibles those will unlock levels. With the latest update this year it added a currency. You cannot buy it though, you earn it by beating levels! You can then spend it on skins for any of the forms your characters. There are even user made levels and you can make your own. Keeping up with the rhythm based gaming all user made levels are made the same way with care. Making takes a while and the fan base is growing! It's still running so play it!

Depth:  There was no story until this year's update. So there are diamonds in the game and keys. Collect the keys to open chests and uncover secrets about the geometry dash world which I can't reveal because it's spoiling the adventure. Collect 10 user made coins to unlock another secret and uncover more! You get these coins by collecting coins in levels made by people not the main levels. Our final thing is the diamonds. You earn them by doing quests, completing gauntlets, playing the game daily, or do the level of the day. Collect 50 and uncover even more about the world and don't stop collecting since they are handy and remember that you do not spend any money on the game other then buying the game!

Difficulty:  So the difficultly is at 5 since it acts a bit like other games. Where the more you play the harder it gets but we need to talk about the controls. You do not move, your character moves itself and you die in 1 hit. You tap your computer screen, press space, or click to jump. The jumping matches the beat of course. There is the ship which makes your character fly when you hold down space and vice versa for the other methods and forms. When your the ball you can change from ground to ceiling. When you are a UFO it acts like Flappy Bird but its actually fun! The robot can give longer jumps and the wave is like those bars you see to tell if someone is alive but you have to get past the level. Finally there's the spider which is faster then the ball in a good way. The difficultly increases the more you play and introduces the forms in a casual way before being used a lot in later stages! So the game is great and its not too easy or hard at all. You will have a great time.

So now we are reaching the end of this review. The graphics and sound are pretty great. You can play it again with friends and there are community made levels! The story is cool and has some depth and the difficulty is moderate so you won't struggle that much. That's why I rate this 9.6/10 or A Cube/10. Play this game you will not be disappointed!

I've been wondering about this game for a while now and thanks to this review, I finally get lots of info about it. It sounds challenging but cool so I'll have to see if I can play it someday!
