Well, quite a few upsets so far today. The Browns actually managed to beat the Chargers. Gotta blame the Chargers, though; they gave it to them. They even missed a FG that could have sent the game to OT.

Chargers kicker Josh Lambo gives Browns fans a present, their one and only win. Meanwhile, new Bengals kicker Randy Bullock gives Bengals fans a present, a better draft pick.

Bengals need to draft a kicker in April. Then again, a good number of teams would probably be better off with a new kicker. The number of extra point misses this season is ridiculous.

Kickers are a dime a dozen honestly and it rarely works out drafting a kicker high. I mean look at the ups and downs a guy like Aguayo had this year when he came in with huge expectations. I mean even my Bears had to dump Gould this year due to the struggles he had over the prior few seasons, even though he was great over most of his career.

Looks like the Cardinals met my expectations and predictions early in the year and didn't make the playoffs. Outside of David Johnson, (who's AMAZING by the way) they really don't have a whole lot on offense. Sure Fitz is great, but he's on the downside of his career and honestly Carson Palmer is not a guy that can take you through 16 games in a season and through the playoffs to win. Honestly with how injured he's been throughout his career, it's amazing he can still play at all. He probably should retire, but with the shortage of decent QB's in the NFL, I'm sure he will milk it for a few more years, just like guys like Romo are able to hang on for so long.

The biggest take away I had from this weeks slate of games, there were a lot broken bones. Sad to see great young players like Carr and Mariota go down with such serious injuries. Especially since they both were competing for the playoffs. In Carr's case, competing for the top seed. Sad to see a young player having such a great season go down before the playoffs. Although I am by no means a Raiders fan, I feel cheated that we are not able to see the full Raiders team in action vs the AFC. I was hoping at least to see if someone could beat the Pats. Was going to be a tall order for he Raiders either way, especially if they had to go on the road out east, but the Raiders have surprisingly won several of those games this year. So who knows. Always better to see teams at their best in the playoffs though.

Well I'm glad my Bears didn't do the annoying thing and win this week. Seemed like something they would do, but thankfully with the Jags winning as well as the 49ers the Bears draft pick might improve a little.

Jordanv78 : I'm still hurting over the Ravens / Steelers game. Don't get my wrong, that was a hell of a game, and an even more helluva reach across the goal line by AB to win it. The Ravens defense just fell apart in the 4th quarter.

It still hurts to the core.

I was really hoping the Ravens would win as we needed that win to get in the playoffs. But we lost. Baltimore even if they finish 8-8 or 9-7 is improved from last year. Baltimore needs a better secondary and better carriers on the offense. I think they will be a playoff team next year.

The Browns with a win over the Chargers avoided joining the Detroit Lions as the only team to not win at least 1 game during a season. In 2008 the Detroit Lions went 0-16. The Browns are a very young team.

The Bengals defense has been good this year. But When AJ Green went down so did the offense. Dalton is really not the problem as he is good but the runners and carriers have not averaged that many yards. That is a big problem that needs to be addressed.

The Buffalo Bills fired Rex Ryan as what many expected. Buffalo has got new owners and they want to make Buffalo a playoff team again. The Bills have not been to the playoffs since 1999. The past few years they have been 8-8. The Bills had the talent to be better this year so Ryan lost his job

Green Bay has really improved the past 6 weeks and are looking like the typical Green Bay team that gets into the playoffs.

Vikings have collapsed despite starting the year 5-0 they have since gone 2-8. Injuries are mainly to blame.

The Chiefs are in the playoffs once again. Denver needs a lot of help to grab the wildcard spot.

The Panthers went from Super Bowl team last year to rock bottom.

Seattle is also in the playoffs again. But they have more flaws than they have had the past 4 years.

Pittsburgh is also in the playoffs again and their front defense is scary their offense is scary too. They could go deep into the playoffs.

tornadocam : correction, the Broncos were mathematically eliminated last week.

It's pretty surprising to see both of last year's Super Bowl teams miss the playoffs. It's the first time that's happened since 2003.

Well I guess the only good part about the Bears season this year is that they now have the #3 pick. Here's hoping that they can actually use the pick well and get a playmaker. I think Ryan Pace will really set his legacy with the Bears one way or another depending on how the do with this draft.

thing1 : Who said that? If someone really did say that, I have to wonder if they were sober at the time of saying it ;-) . At this point you just have to hope they can compete next year and sneak into the playoffs. I don't think anyone in their right mind believes they will be good next year.

thing1 : What made the whole thing even worse, is that the Bears GM, Ryan Pace, said he was glad that Alshon made that statement. Like he somehow shares those beliefs, realistically. So does that mean if they don't make it next year that himself and Fox will be on the hot seat?

We shall see...

Well, hasn't the Bears coach been there awhile? What has he done in his time there? XD
That being said, maybe he is trying to stay on the positive side? "If you believe it, it's bound to happen" kind of thing? I mean, it's pretty unrealistic, but still, I can see why he would support his players; it's kind of his job as the coach, isn't it?

Ehh, I think the bears may be and for a long time plague with Jay Cutler's.... idk but I blame it all on him, he should've never been their QB in the first place. For some reason the announcers talk really good about him, was he really good in the beginning?
Oh, and I pick the Steelers to beat everyone they face in the AFC except for the villainous and despicable Patriots.
My apologies to all the Pat fans out there.
