"What's this?! Another childhood game?! Wow, Sara, you must have had a pretty great childhood!" Yes, I did. I'm glad most of the games I'm reviewing are hidden games that not many people have heard of, so I can bring attention to them.

This is a maze game, sort of like Pacman, except you leave a trace wherever you go, so unless you go back to the safe zone often, an enemy roaming around could find your trace (Which is directly attached to you) and kill you.

Graphics - 7

The graphics are very colorful. The maze for each round will be different than the last, and in each island where the mazes take place, it'll be in a different theme. For example, the first island is a beach themed island, so all the mazes resemble a beach (i.e. sand floor, water puddles, etc.)

I've been doing quite a few comparisions, and nothing looks the same as this, which is to be expected for most arcade games, unless two games are direct sequels/prequels to each other.

The title screen is also very colorful. It leaves a good impression on you that says, "This game is going to be absolutely great! I can feel it in my bones!" The fairy - who, for the sake of this review, will be called Ariel - flies across the title screen with incredibly smooth animation, which tells you, "Oh, goodie! This is even better than I first thought it would be!"

Sound - 6

There aren't many sound effects, so I won't waste any space, even just a paragraph, discussing them and just talk about the music - where there is quite a bit of it, unlike the sound effects.

Like many games I've reviewed before, the music is the same for each island, changing when you progress to a different one. The song and the island fit together quite well, like they're meant to be together, which is exactly what the music is supposed to be like in a game.

For example, island 2 is a circus-themed island, with clown enemies and everything else you can think of. So, the music there is an upbeat, excited tune that says, "If clowns didn't exist, circuses would be awesome!"

The boss theme is menacing-sounding, because that's what most of the bosses are, with the exception of a few of them (A giant snowman?! Come on!) It's been at least a couple of years since I got to the ending, so I don't remember what the final boss theme sounds like.

Addictiveness - 9

This game is addictive. You're constantly trying to get past enemies and collect all of the treasures, and then, when you get to the boss (There's only one every two islands) you try to figure out how to defeat them without getting killed.

When you respawn in the game, you lose all of your previous score that you got before you lost all of your lives, like what you would expect with most games that are not Puckman Pockimon. This makes you even more determined to not die, which is quite a bit of fun.

Story - 6

Despite what you'd expect, there actually is a story for this game. You can read it when you insert some coins and start the game.

The story is that the two main characters that you can play as, Mile and Yard, who I think are brothers, are fufilling their lifelong dream, which I'm assuming is travelling around the world and seeing all the sights that they could see.

Suddenly, Ariel sees them and flies towards them, exclaiming that she needs their help. Naturally, the two of them are reluctant, having no idea what she's going on about, so, she explains.

An evil villian named Hector has kidnapped a princess and took her to his world, the creatively named Hectorworld. Ariel also adds that a handsome reward would be awarded to anyone who could defeat Hector and rescue the princess, whose name turns out to be Princess Area.

Mile wanted the reward, while Yard was fantasizing about saving Princess Area, who, he assumed, would fall in love with him and the two of them would marry - at least, he hoped that would happen.

Knowing that great rewards lie ahead of them if they did it, they agreed to go to Hectorworld and rescue the beautiful Princess Area, and thus, the story of how two unsuspecting brothers travelled to a world of evil and saved a princess from said world of evil began.

Depth - 5

The things that you have to do to defeat the boss varies a bit. Like, for one of the bosses, you would have to try and flip all the switches to close the curtain down on a them.

For another, you have to light all the candles to melt a snowman boss while he sends his snowman minions to put out the candles, so you have to dodge snowmen while relighting candles constantly. This boss is, by far, one of the hardest in the game.

Other than that, the main stages are the same. You have to collect all the "treasures" during each round, which makes it even more like Pacman, but still different enough to make it feel like it's not a complete clone.

Difficulty - 5

The game is actually kind of hard. The enemies are smart. Sometimes they guard where one of the entrances to the maze is, and it seems like they can hunt you down, wherever you are.

The bosses are even harder than that. The snowman boss, as I mentioned before, will send out his snowman minions to put out the candles. Like all the other enemies in the game, if you touch one of the snowmen you die, so you have to light candles before the snowmen get to them without touching them.

Overall - 6.3

This is a pretty fun game! I'd recommend playing it if you want to have a bit of fun or to record a YouTube video about it. In the meantime, I'm going to work on the novel that I'm going to attempt to sell. More updates will come out about the novel as I write more reviews, too, so expect to hear a lot more about it and possibly see it in stores!

Excellent review.

I love to see someone else who appreciates MAME as much as I do, and you've shown me some interesting games. :3
