Unfortunately, a side effect of this appears to include not being able to use that same controller for Wild Arms 2 (and possibly other games that don't include dual analog support). Any way to use the same controller for both games without manually reconfiguring whether I'm using dual analog or a regular gamepad (and having to reconfigure which button does what each time)? Or is that the only way?

I didn't realize this when I made the thread for this game to enable dual analog through editing the configuration file, you can switch between controller type with Ctrl + Shift + 1 (number key).
