Last night's game was really disspaointing. I couldn't watch any of it, but got home in time to see just the 9th inning, and it was very hard to watch when the Cubs were trying to claw their way back. The error made it look like they were going to win, but the moment I saw Jason Heyward's name, I lost some of my hope lol, and then it all ended later on.

The Cubs have every opportunity to win tonight if Lester and Arrieta rebuild available to pitch out of the bullpen. No matter how few runs they can score off the Indians, they have the advantage and can keep the Indians at 0 or 1 for a while.

zanderlex :

Goes both ways. Indians have Kluber, Salazar, Miller, Allen, etc all available tonight.

As far as the pitching battle goes, the Indians might hold the advantage, because the Cubs burned Chapman last night, and might not be able to use him as much tonight.

I think the Cubs are going to win. The air just has that kind of magic in it. But if they win, it won't be because they shut down the Indians. It might play a part... but the main reason they'd win is their bats came alive like they did last night.

I'm not even sure who I'd call my World Series MVP.

If the Cubs win, I think you have to go with Addison Russell or Anthony Rizzo, whoever has the bigger game tonight. There's also an argument for Chapman, but for him to win it, he's going to need another herculean effort, of at least 1.1 innings and no runs allowed, with absolute bullets fired in a high leverage spot.

If the Indians win, it's either Francisco Lindor or Jason Kipnis (depending on who has the bigger game 7)... although if Kluber goes 6 tonight and gives up no runs, I think it has to be him. He's given up one run in like 12 innings this WS.

In short, here's my order for each team right now:
Cubs - Chapman, Rizzo, Russell (loved his game 6, but Rizzo's been the better series player)
Indians - Kluber, Kipnis, Lindor

Man, I was ok with the White Sox and all he mega deals that hey were doing, and I was cool with a couple other deals that went around like Edwin and others, but Mallex Smith leaving the Braves was a complete shock to me, he's one of my two favorite players and he had a lot of potential with the Braves.

Not only does he get traded to the Mariners, but just hours after that he gets flipped again to the Rays. Has to be a lot of stress on his part as well but partnerning Smith with Kiermaier would lead to a speedy OF.
