I'm planning making my own horror game. It's gonna be called 'The Soulless Hangout'. Let me know if that name is already used or if it's a terrible name.

So, i'm gonna make it with a program where i know too much of: Microsoft Powerpoint 2010. However, i need help with this:

Anyone know a good idea to scare people?
The objective will be to find a light switch in a regular house. I am planning to add an entire castle and a movie studio in it. Anyway, you'll need to be careful, though: There are some characters in this game... they're not quite friendly.

Let me also know if it's ok to share their names and what they do. These characters are part of a secret show i made, but never uploaded on YouTube. I will do so, though. Anyway, i will also put MYSELF in this game, as a horror character.

I still need to make the first characters, though. I already have an idea how they will look like and what they do. Due to younger users, i have to ask first before sharing every single detail. So, that won't be shared yet.

Well, i guess i will make this whenever i want. Please don't tell me "Please continue your game" because i will ignore that.

MrBeingcool1 : Jumpscares. Very dark game. Thats what you need for a horror game. And i think that name is pretty good. You came up with it by yourself? Nice. The game sounds really good. I cant wait for you to make it!  Use alot of creepy sounds,Suprises, and those sort of things. You could actually pull off this game! It will take a long time, but you can do it! I would say you should make the game quite dark, so you cant see much. Thats kinda creepy. Also flickering lights! Just try and find as much creepy things as you can and put them in the game.

The title needs work.  "Hangout" means people just kinda... hanging out, playing video games, eating Cheetohs, it's not very scary to say the least.  Soulless is okay, maybe try something different.

Also, please no jump-scares.  Those are the oldest thing in the book and they get old quickly.  Five Nights at Freddy's is proof the jump-scare gets old really quickly.  

Have it at night and have it outside.  Or at least have the location in a place where you have to constantly check other directions.  It's more exciting if there could be something coming from behind you, below you, above you, or through a window or through a wall!  Monsters that go through walls!  How about that?

Also, flickering lights are cool if you use them sparingly.  Don't just make it all lights.  Start with bright lights and slowly turn it down so the person playing has to work harder and harder to see what's going on.

Horror is about atmosphere.  Make it scary with little action.  That's because people use their own imagination and worry about what's about to come.  The fear of just before the scare is always worse than the scare.

UPDATE: I'm busy with making a idea for what type of game to use, but this project will be closed!

Persona 4 Golden is my top 1 PS Vita games. It's RPG with lots of stuff to do, and they choices you make will be crucial till the end. So it gives players more playtime with this game, because you want to play it again as soon as you have finished it.

Here is some advice, nothing scares a person more than feeling like nothing they are is true. Mess with their head, make them think they are going crazy. Basically, mess with their mind to the point they can't tell what's truth from the lie......that will scare them a lot.
