Congrats on yet another personal milestone geeo! I can guarantee you that I will still be active as well once I get to that, even though I'm not even halfway there yet lol. If I would've joined the same time as you, I'd be saying the same thing right now. I just wish I was a lot quicker about finding this site.

Eniitan : Yeah. David is the only other active person who has been around that long. He'll always be ahead of me though

geeogree : That's the point! You gotta follow the leader that's how it works. If you were to get 1st again I would admit it would be weird, and it would make me to think you are the owner of the site. The owner should always be on the top first list.

Though I always point to how dead the board was for the first 5 years and how much I've posted since then. Still, I had way more time to do everything I've done.

No, I get the argument, it's kind of the same argument I'd use on zanderlex right now. He's done a lot in a short period of time (not all of it good, but that's neither here nor there).

I think it gets easier the more active a board is, but I also think that the user can't do it if they don't have the drive.

legacyme3 : not just drive though.... they need the endurance as well. Septembern and yourmajestyken both had huge posting sprees for about 2 years and then completely disappeared.

while zanderlex hasn't completely disappeared, he sure has dropped off from his earlier posting speed. If it wasn't for the TdV I'd probably be further ahead of him than I am now.

Still, he remains the only person (besides you for now) that stands any chance of passing me in the near future.

Yeah, it's part of what comes with the territory at this point, you either need to have been here since the site went up, or been super active for the better part of three years (we're talking 9,000 posts a year active) to be where we're at now... even people who were insanely active in their own right are staggering around in the 10,000s.

The 20,000 club is just so exclusive, and I can't ever see a day where Vizzed is routinely putting in new members of the club.

Once Zander makes it, there's nobody even all that close to it behind him. Behind him is a permabanned member, two inactive members, Pacman (who has been more inactive than me!), and Barathemos (who has been only slightly more active than me).

You might need to go further down the list to find someone who will hit 20k next, but beyond those names, only tRIUNE and Jordanv78 are at 10,000, and they literally just got there.

If zanderlex decides to disappear completely, no one will hit 20k, let alone 25k, for a couple, maybe a few, years.

It's definitely hallowed ground we walk on.

Maybe not routinely putting people into that milestone but I can see there being 5-10 people in there eventually.

Still, getting there requires being active for so many years that it's not likely that many will maintain the posting required to get there.

And I'm okay with that. I like actually being part of an exclusive posting amount. 10,000 felt that way years ago when we all hit it but now it's pretty common to get there. 20,000 and 25,000 feel much more exclusive.
