Super Metroid Z Factor is a very well designed hack.

The graphics in the game are very good.  There were few, if any graphical errors or glitches throughout  the entire game.  The graphics were pretty much what you would expect of super metroid.  There were a few extra graphical goodies here and there that were not in the original title, but I won't say what they are as to not spoil the surprise.

The sound in the game is very good.  It was pretty much what you would expect of super metroid.  So, if you liked the sound and the music in the original title, then, you would probably like this just the same.

The addictiveness of the game was okay.  The game was well designed and fun, no doubt.  But because of the over all high level of difficulty of the game, I would have to be in the right kind of mood in order to play it again.  Over all I could picture playing it again at some point, but, it will most likely take me a while to feel like doing so.

The story of the game is good.  It has the same story line of super metroid, so if you liked the story of the original title, then, you will probably like this.

The depth of this game is where it really shines.  The map is noticeably bigger and more complicated than the original title.  The areas are very well designed and creatively difficult to navigate.  This game will most definitely test your exploration skills.  Also, expect some mini-boss fights that you didn't  have in the original title.  Another cool thing that adds to the depth of the game, is that at some point, if you are good enough with your exploration, you will find the skeleton of Serris somewhere in the haunted ship, who was one of the bosses in metroid fusion.  This game has cool little Easter eggs in it, like that.  Also, if you can find a way to get to the hidden room on the ship, do it as it will be worth your while.  Not that I did it my self, but I watched a video of it on youtube, and admittedly the skill that is required to actually pull it off is beyond what I am currently capable of, but if you can pull it off your self, nice job!

The difficulty level of this game is quite tough.  You will need solid exploration skills in order to beat this game.  Many of the bosses and items are very difficult to locate, so be prepared to do some serious poking around in order to find them.  Not only that, but a lot of the areas have a lot more hazards such as spikes, lava, and acid.  Many of the enemies, including the bosses are far tougher than they were in the original title.  For example, Kraid in this game, compared to the Kraid in the original title is just flat out tough, so be prepared for a fight!  The difficulty level in this game is high enough that I would recommend usage of save states, doing so will definitely help to move the game along faster.  Just make sure you have a good sense as to where and when to use them so as not to get your self into any trouble.  This game definitely tested my patience, as because of its high level of difficulty, it took me a noticeably long time to beat.

Overall I enjoyed this game.  It is a very well designed hack.  It has few if any graphical or sound glitches and errors.  It's noticeably bigger and more complex than the original title, with all sorts of interesting Easter eggs.  If you have the patience to put up with this games rather high level of difficulty, and most likely the amount of time it will probably take you to beat it because of that difficulty, you will find that the areas in this game are designed in a very well thought out and creative manner and will hopefully appreciate the level of effort it clearly took to make this hack.  The people who made this game did a very good job.

I have never played the game (and much less the hack), but I have to say that you gave an excellent overview of Z-Factor. Your structure is clear and you showed the similarities and major differences between both games. Although, if things are really so similar think about amalgating them rather than repeating it over and over again. It gets a little tedious. High 4!
