HOWDY, guys! It's been a long time!
I know I don't stop by much anymore, due to MANY reasons ( which is a topic for another forum, not this one ), but I just wanted to let you guys know I haven't just been repeatedly failing at difficult video games since the last time I posted ( although I have been doing that as well ). I managed to get a lot of work done on a special game I was working on for the longest time. And now, I'm happy to announce...
The demo for Bulldozer Studios new RPG game "Battle City" has FINALLY BEEN RELEASED!
It's ironic I mention this, because the software I used to develop it ( RPG Maker 2003 ) came from THIS website. So I guess Vizzed should get some credit in the end credits when the final release of the game is out, which won't be for a LONG time! It took me 2 months just to make the demo... luckily, I can erase the point where the demo ends and continue developing the game from that point onward.
Anywho, I know some of you wanna hear more about the game, but sadly, I just don't have the time to go into EVERY SINGLE detail ( and even if I did, the post would end up being 30 paragraphs long ). But I will go over a couple of things.
The number one thing you want to keep in mind: THIS GAME IS AS HARD AS CASTLEVANIA! I played through the demo myself, and ran into A LOT of trouble with the first boss! So you REALLY want to spend time in the overworld grinding for level ups.
Spoiler Alert: Your probably going to die anyway, so bring plenty of medical items and make sure to buy better equipment.
The number two thing to keep in mind: The demo is subject to change at anytime if I decide to redo anything in the early game. So if something in the demo looks different in a later demo release or the final release, do not be surprised.
That aside, I think many people will enjoy Battle City for what it's worth, even though it's just a short demo. I am really looking forward to the final release of the game. If you want a link to where you can download the demo, I will post it in the Web Splurge shortly, so keep an eye out for that.
And now I ask this: What would YOU like to see in Battle City in a later demo release or the final release? Feel free to discuss what you would like to see in the game, and I MAY consider putting it into a later demo release of the game or the final release. Please keep in mind that RPG Maker 2003 has very clear-cut limits as to what can be accomplished with the software, so if your idea is too difficult to program into the game, chances are I won't be able to add it.
Anyway, discuss what you want to see in the game below.
Have a good day!
