Hi everyone, today I will review this game: Kirby's Pinball Land. Let's start shall we?
Graphics: 8
This game got really nice graphics, at the intro the graphics may look boring, but when you start the game it get better, each stage have a theme, take for example Kracko stage, while playing you will notice clouds, rain, even the sun and the moon. Just all that make you feel in the sky. It would have been nicer if this game was on GBC (Game Boy Color). All the sprites are clean and visible and its fun to see what faces the giant Kirby's make!
Sound: 4
Now for the sound, it was less good, Poppy and Kracko stage theme were just taken from Kirby Dreamland, only Whispy stage theme was new and all bosses had the same theme, expect Dedede, who is the final boss so he obviously get a new theme. The music was pretty boring and repetitive in my opinion and I hope that next time the creators make more efforts in it.
Addictiveness: 9 This is not just a normal pinball game, it have much more things that a normal pinball don't have, which make this game great in game, not only the graphics are awesome, but there is things in the game which make it easier, of course it may take forever to activate those things but it is worth it. Flying around in the boss room from left to right is fun and heck, sometime in some rooms you can have a star that take you to a secret room where you have to... oh wait, I cant tell you, or else it wont be a secret. Speaking of room, each room has a way to make you go up, when you are in the last room, there is something that you have to (Either hit 3 enemies on the screen, beat Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright or save three chickens) once this is done, you will be able to go to the boss. Like I said, there are things that you can activate to continue the game, and they are fun to mess with, who know? By touching them many time, you can get an item! You can get some points, a tomato (that prevent you from falling) or a star wrap! After beating this game, you may want to play it again to get a higher score and hit every object you have missed, when you finish a level, you get a ball with letters in it, if you hit the ball and get all letters, you get a extra try.
Story: None There is no story to the game since pinball games don't have any story, so there is nothing to say about it.
Depth: 3 The game is not that deep, since most Kirby retro games are not deep, you just have three stage, each with one boss and then you fight the final boss and the game is already finished. This could have been longer with more levels but sadly, no.
Difficulty: 5 Some part of the game can be easy or hard, but there are things that will change the difficulty. I'm pretty sure that in each level there is a part that took them a long time to complete, just using the left and right flipper forever without accomplishing anything, but if you fall down, and press A at the right moment, you will just go to the last room, but the last room is the hardest, so you take an easy path to end up in the hard room but beating the hard room make you fight a easy boss, it is like a mix of easy and hard in almost each room you go in instead of having the whole game easy or hard. That is why I give the difficulty a 5. One half of the 5 for the easy things and another half for the hard things
After all this writing, I give this game my overall rating: 7,8. This game is not that bad but it seem like the creators screwed up the most important things in a game. Hi everyone, today I will review this game: Kirby's Pinball Land. Let's start shall we?
