Jordanv78 : "Cult following"? I'd say Back to the Future has a much bigger following then that. Conan must really have been living under a rock and also been wearing a blindfold and ear plugs.

As for The Goonies, yeah, it would definitely have at least a cult following. It's probably one of the best family films of that decade.

Jordanv78 : Oh wow that looks just epic! I love with these late night shows do things like this, especially for awesome movies like this! I'll watch it later though with my wife, she'd probably want to watch that with me lol.

Speaking of Back to the Future, the trilogy is currently free for Amazon Prime users so my wife and I watched the first movie last night, plan to watch the 2nd tonight and then the 3rd tomorrow night. I forgot just how funny those movies are.

Davideo7 : They are really great movies. Great Sci Fi overtones but just lots of great comedy and acting in general with the cast. They are great movies even 30 years later. Still totally relevant and entertaining. Glad to see that this day just was a way to celebrate one of the best movie franchises ever.

I don't normally watch Kimmel. Just usually catch a clip here or there on Facebook, but I was glad I saw this one. was really cool.

I'd love to see more merchandise from the movies become available in some way. While this obviously wasn't in the movies, I have a LEGO set that came out a few years ago based on the movies. You get Marty, Doc Brown and the Delorean (and it gives you 3 different instructions depending on which movie you want it modeled after).

Speaking of LEGO, some of the Back to the Future characters appear in the latest Lego Dimensions game. I don't know the details of it but it looks pretty cool and Doc Brown himself was in one of the commercials for it.
