OVERVIEW

Many have played Final Fantasy titles, and this time I did against a remastering reaching the next generation consoles: Final Fantasy Type-0, which only saw light in Japan in 2011 (PSP). I expected to find the desire that made me fall in love with the franchise, thinking that in RPGs, this would keep pace certainly Type-0 has many hours of content to keep you busy in control, but unfortunately the core of combat It is bad and the story just has something that can like but fails.

Unlike Japanese style RPG game, Type-0 begins well. With a home where you have rarely seen it is handled well, this is filled with a dark opening, with melancholy touches where you see a world at war, with soldiers caught up in this conflict where technology and magic are present. Ultima is now a weapon of destruction used to annihilate nations. This is where you see a group of young soldiers Class 0 Agito are looking to become the last hope of the four countries Orience and can change the course of the war, but many things happen because this game history also gives you a hint of mystery as e.g. soldiers killed in battle are erased from the memory of those still living What is the nature of the conflict? What value do the soldiers to fight? Many questions and a lot of things to discover encloses the history, plus it is important to say that this game is part of the Fabula Nova Cristallis with Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XV.

GAMEPLAY - C

Unfortunately, the game is not focused on these complexities, the missions of Type-0 are to retake the territory and also the narrative is a little overwhelming because it has inconsistencies that should not be there in a title like this. You have many characters in your repertoire, as I said, are an elite group of young men, 14 to be exact and you never know well what each character is and why you should care for them. Few moments in history are substantial but as many titles in the franchise, the highlights are handled with exciting scenes in the war that takes place, especially in the cinematics that are great. Unfortunately players do not feel much they are part of the formation of these events, so in that respect the game is bad, and that you should feel more a part of what is happening in all those events.

Despite this, it is great to see what your characters have to offer in battle, with their skills and improvements that you can add them to shape their growth. Real-time action is the centerpiece of this game and the number of attacks per character plus spells do very showy fights. Unfortunately these same happen to be in the end a frantic affair defined more by the time you press a button to have a clear strategy, as attacks are automatic, exactly. Plus it's unclear that there is no clear sense of what characters carry into battle (only 3 of them can step on the field), mainly to keep track of your skills and have a well-equipped team, which you will feel frustrating as subsequent challenges you will see the bad that you have to change what you thought you had good.

The game is also defined in its combat system as an experiment in several models that are rarely perfect in so many who want to offer, some are a waste of time. The structure of the mission to which you must move has ups and downs between combat sorties oriented in a coming and going back to the academy, which feels prohibitive;this results show you that with limited time between events is necessary to choose if you want to attend classes, join chat events or venture into the open world. But beware, at first this division sections are fun, take lessons is a great tool to level up, to leave it offer you an opportunity to explore this more to have a series of random battles to reach a desired level.

GRAPHICS - B-

The remastering makes one thing clear: the aim was not exploit the powers of the PS4 and Xbox One The characters are static, frequent charging, the camera or its rotation is something meticulous and sharp than it should be..  Something that is absent in this HD edition is cooperative multiplayer, shame it was lost and was not included.

OVERALL - C+

Final Fantasy Type-0 is a stroke of nostalgia, with plenty of content to explore, however, has no experience more attractive combat or a story with more involvement for the player, the Adventure Class Zero may not revive it you're looking at a game in the series, but it is certainly an experiment that want to see and feel for yourself as it certainly holds its own. As plus copies of the game have the demo of Final Fantasy XV, I've tried, looks impressive, despite the fall of frames in the fighting presents, is a test for others worthy of what awaits you in the Fabula Nova Cristallis, I recommend it.

This is another good review of yours Azul. Although I feel like you could have used more details, you nevertheless give enough to convince me NOT to try the game as it does not look worthy of its Final Fantasy title.
