Good afternoon to the Internet, fans of Metal Gear, newcomers and the like. There's something I've always wanted to know, so I thought I'd ask all of you. This applies to those of you who have played MGS2, of course. Also, please note that this may include MINOR spoilers to the story. You guys are familiar with Strut E, right? For those of you who don't know, it's a cargo room in the game, where cargo boxes are being transported across a conveyor belt. If you call the Colonel, he'll give you a stealth tip; he tells you to match your movement speed to the cargo's to avoid being seen. Also, Spoiler: in Hard mode, Fatman hides a bomb on one of the boxes, so you have to freeze it as you see it. So, how does this come into play with my question? Well it's like this: on my disc there was no sign of any cargo on the belt. I looked up YouTube videos and tried to find a solution, and noticed that there was certainly cargo on the belt. I figured "Maybe I have to hit a switch or go do something to get the cargo on there?" But nope. There was nothing I could do. Throughout the whole game, there was never any cargo on the belt for me, and this applied to every playthrough I did. This wasn't an issue for a long time though, and I in fact never noticed it until I set the game to Hard. Spoiler: Because Fatman hid a bomb on a crate, and there were no crates, I had no means of neutralizing the bomb, meaning I couldn't move on with the story. I was stuck there, and had to stop playing, which was a shame 'cause MGS2 was one of my favourite games at the time. . If it made any difference, I was playing the copy on the HD Collection on PS3. I had no wi-fi in my house until like a year or two later and here's where things changed. When I tried to play again, after I got wi-fi in my home, I had to update my game online, which I did. Then get this: the cargo was on the belt in Strut E, just like it should have been! It was a happy moment in my life, 'cause I could once again play one of my favourite games.
So, after rambling for a little while, here's my question: has this happened to you guys, or am I the only one to whom this has never happened?
Thanks for reading my post and I look forward to what you guys have to say. *flashes a peace sign*
