Subway Surfer was a game that I really wanted to play when I first heard of it but I couldn't since I didn't have a phone that could play the game on it. I remember times where I would be on the bus or train and I would look over peoples shoulders and watch them play. It looked a lot of fun, more fun than any of the other endless runners that I have played at the time and it became available on the phone that I had eventually and i was able to get it back in October. I've been playing it ever since almost every day for a while and I had a blast.

GRAPHICS 10/10

Honestly, out of all the endless runner games that I have played including all the temple run games, angry gran run, and so on, this had the best graphics out of them all. Even in the 2nd temple run, all you really had was the small course and a basic environment, but with this game you have something beautiful. You have the tracks, all the trains, a bunch of buildings, bridges, and various other structures in the background and they are all full of detail and easy to look at. The graphics are really good and deserve a perfect 10 out of 10.

SOUND 8/10

The music aspect of sound is pretty basic, didn't really pay much attention to it but it fit in with the game pretty well and when it came to the sounds, there was a good amount of that thrown around the game. You have the sounds of collecting coins and powersups and a few others. They're really small sounds that don't really have any effect on the game play but id much rather play the game with the sound on and listening to everything that's going on instead of just playing the game with no sound or listening to music instead. As for a grade, I would say that sound deserves an 8 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 9/10

The game can be very addicting at times, because its a race to beat your personal records and who doesn't like beating high scores? I can probably play about 10 or so runs in one sitting without getting bored because its fun trying to break records and obtaining things that will help you do that such as objective items, powerups, or coins. This isn't the kind of game where you can play a few hours a day and play for months at a time like some console games, but in total since I got the game maybe 7 months ago, I had already logged in at least 100 hours because this kind of a game just doesn't get boring no matter how much you play it and mt grade for addictiveness I going to be a 9 out of 10.

STORY N/A

There's really no story to this as is the same with most endless runners in this game. I guess the closest thing to a story would be that you are running from the train guards and trying to escape essentially but none of that has anything to do with the actual game play really. Sure, you're running for a reason, but the game is just about the running. The only other things that could really come close to a story would be running as far as you can, getting as high a score as you can, getting tons of coins, and unlocking characters, but that's about it so there isn't going to be a grade for story.

DEPTH 9/10

The game does have a pretty good amount of depth outside of the running because you have a decent sized assortment of characters and boards that you can unlock but that's about it. You have different kinds of collectibles and items, and the amount of stuff that's put into each run is pretty big so my grade for depth is going to be a 9 out of 10.

DIFFICULTY 2

The game is not difficult, the only thing you need to do is understand when you need to go left, right, jump, and slide, bur that's about it. The game is about coordination, so if you can see something as its coming and you know what to do in order to pass it, then you will be just fine. Sure, the game is going to get quicker as you go deeper into each run, and its supposed to do that but that's really the only challenge that the game has. My grade for difficulty will be a 2.

OVERALL 9.3/10

Tho is one of the best endless runner games that I have ever played because its so much fun and addicting. I would easily say that in random order, temple run 2 and this game would be my 2 favorite mobile endless runner games, and I have played quite a few of them. If you haven't played this game but you do like games of this genre, then I really suggest that you give it a try. I'm sure that this could easily become one of the best mobile games you have played like it has for me. I loved it and my overall grade for Subway Surfer will be a 9.3 out of 10.

It's an excellent review, with lots of details AND comparisons to similar games, which I always like. In addition, you're using fewer fillers like you often do, so I will give it a 5 when I have the occasion.

janus : I know what you mean, I saw something I thought was a problem on my CP page so I had to go over all my reviews for the month and I was shocked to see that I wrote literally every simf WP review ever.

Not bad, zander. Though I do have to ask: why did you rate sound an eight when literally the only positive comment about it was that you would rather leave the sound turned on than turn it off? Aside from that the best thing said was there were a lot of sound effects thrown around in it.

Not policing, just curious. And the review as a whole is just fine.

Eirinn : Well, if id rather leave the sound on than listen to ny own music or something, then it must be at least goo, right? Has to be better than whatever I am listening to, and a lot of sound effects are good.

Oh I see now. I was taking it as more of an "I'd rather leave the volume on than hear nothing" sort of thing. I have seen some games like that, though those games are a rarity for me.
