Sonic has had a history for being in notoriously bad games(Sonic 06, sonic boom: rise of lyric) but this was when Sega made very fun Sonic games.

Graphics:8
This game may be the Directors Cut of Sonic Adventure but I can't see any graphical changes from Dreamcast to PC. The Dreamcast graphics were great however so I'll admit they do hold up well even though this was made in 2003(DX not original).

Sound:8
The music is nice- especially speed highway with its upbeat music that slipped into sonic generations- but most are not too memorable. My real complaint is the mediocre voice acting. It won't line up with mouth movement either.

Addictiveness:9
Most of the game is fun provided that the buttons respond or I don't do impossible bosses as well as not occasionally clipping through the floor when trying to run near a wall. Also, 3 words. Big the Cat. Sega messed up big(the cat) time by adding this monstrosity. At least every other character was fun, especially E102 Gamma.

Story:6
It's a platformer, what do you expect, a story that is awesome. The story is with sonic and tails you have to get the 7 chaos emeralds to stop Eggman and this water thing called Chaos taking over the world. Sonic's conclusion is him confronting eggman's base and destroying it. For tails you stop eggman from blowing up station square. For Knuckles you are trying to find pieces of the master emerald after chaos destroys it. For Amy you try getting away from a robot called Zero while protecting a bird who gets reunited with its family at the end. Big's is fishing for Froggy, his friend frog who has the tail of chaos and is wanted by eggaman. Gamma's story is that he is a robot working for Eggman that was told with his robot companions to try and get froggy which he/she/it finds. Gamma then is in charge of holding Amy in prison where he gets feelings from Amy and lets her go, fights sonic, gets stopped by Amy and flies off to confront and destroy his old companions so that the animals get set free. He then goes onto eggmans ship again to destroy the remaining 2. This includes E101 beta who you fight at the beginning of his story. He's turned to E101 mark 2 who gamma defeats and gets defeated by and then comes birdy's family out of gamma and beta.

Depth:7
Apart from the characters with their stories and gameplay style you can get 130 emblems and 60 missions. The emblems are obtained from replaying action stages with different objectives and playing sub-games(mini-games). For that you get a re-skin of sonic. Metal sonic. This is not worth it at all.
Difficulty:6
The difficulty is really from the later stages and the final boss of each story and sometimes trying to find the stages. Thats it really.

Final stage.
This is a section I'm doing because I'm influenced by the completionist and I have beaten this final stage. Stop reading if you want no spoilers of the fight. So you have beaten all stages for all characters and chaos has been eradicated. Well, not really. He's only at his form with no chaos emeralds. Knuckles has them and the master emerald has been restored. But angel island is still falling. Why? It's the 6 chaos emeralds influencing the master emerald. Eggman shows up to knuckles lying on the floor and is told that chaos is still alive. Sonic goes to angel island after hearing about it falling and finds knuckles and eggman lying on the floor. He's told that they need to find the last chaos emerald before chaos does. It's in the tornado 2 and as soon as sonic finds it chaos snatches the last chaos emerald and unleashes a bunch of water through the sewers and buildings of station square as well as a tsunami that destroys everything. Somehow people aren't dead and sonic comes. Chaos is in his perfect form and he spits out the chaos emeralds and sonic's friends find them all. The bad energy was used but the good energy still remains and sonic used them to go super sonic and defeat chaos. This fight is hard and the second part is the worst. You need to go full speed to go into chaos and attack his head. beams will hit you more beams will hit you and when you're full speed near him tornadoes that are hard to dodge will hit you. You will run out of rings and die at least once. It turns out chaos was good and the protector of the chao, an ancient race of adorable creatures that are defenseless. He was overcome with anger when the echidna tribe of the past tried to gain absolute power. He lived in the master emerald and was sealed there until eggman came.

This game is a great game but definitely not worth 100% completion. just finishing it will do.

Your review is good but I felt like it lacked balance. You focus (to my view) too much on the final stage and don't give much details about the other aspects of the game.
