Which is still fine, you can always come back to it when you are able to and have more money to do so.  As long as you're determined to be part of the sports industry you will be fine.

Please, don't give up. I did that in a class I had, and although I managed to get a B, it was not an earned one. I didn't have the text for the majority of the class. I was, at that time, seriously addicted to video games and couldn't function well without them. If someone had reached out to me, maybe I could have made it to an A! School can be brutal. If you're able, see if you can make some true friends that will lend their textbooks to you and help you with your classes. That will probably help more than anything else.

Have you reached out  to help places in your community? If you live in the United states there are churches for you to go to who will help you. And you could also look for a job that will help you, like I did in college.

All of us have to pay loans thats the ugliness of college. Thats why most people don't go because they end up 80k or higher in student loans once they finish college. But you do need a job to help balance it out your payments, you can't just go to college without having anything to help you out with.

zanderlex :   You know. You have fear of failing that is crippling you right now. You need to find a way to let go of that.

It is all right to fail.

I learned this from my big sister's life story. Over the last decade(which I was quite blissfully unaware of until recently) she failed a vast majority of the courses she enrolled in at our local community college. She works hard at a recreation centre guarding the pool deck, leading exercise classes and administering first aid when necessary. She took breaks from work and school to travel to various interesting countries and over the 14 years before age 30 she dated a variety of creepy men who didn't have full appreciation for her.

Now she's 32. She has retained her seniority at her rec centre job, she has her PhD(I think), she volunteers on the front lines with athletes, she's avidly questing after a good position in her field and is finally in a stable long term relationship with a wonderful man who has proven to be quite committed to her. Things are looking really good for her.

Do you think zanderlex, that my big sis would have got this far into her career if she had tried to sidestep failure by giving up school and just tried working at the pool for about 30 years?

Tell yourself over and over again that it is perfectly fine to fail every time you try. Let it roll off your shoulder if you get a failing grade. Come back to school better prepared the next time again and again until you pass.  Always take note of how you have failed. Does a tough babyface pro-wrestler beat his opponent by scurrying out of the ring and making for the dressing room? NO! He makes counter-moves to thwart his opponent. You already know that you need to counter this money problem to achieve success. Taking a semester or a year off to work full time and earn a bit of your own money to pay for these things is perfectly acceptable.

So what if you're off to a rocky start this term? There are still things you can learn by staying in school. If you are familiar with these things you have to learn to pass, it will be easier to assimilate them next term. Focus your mind to an unflappable state where today's failure doesn't bother you. Your personal record in academia needs not be perfect. Let go of that. It's blocking you. Make today's failed course a lesson in tomorrow's success story.

It is quite all right to fail. Don't be afraid of it.

***

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

~Michael Jordan

If you devoted less time to Vizzed and more to studying I'm sure you would do better, just set your mind to it and apply yourself. Seriously, that's mucho money down the line. Better education = better job. Better job = more money. More money = an easier life in many ways and more ways to buy things like steam games and what not.

Paying for a book to learn about sports, that's kind of a rip off if you ask me. In fact you can learn a lot from professional trainers that offers classes on the human body and such stuff. I knew a teacher in high school who is qualified to be a coach for the Olympic, he told all the detention spots jockeys that classes to learn about sports is a rip off. The only good way to learn is by learning the human body, physics and mental health. That's all you need to learn.

Ouch, it DOES look like you are screwed... Well, if you intend to pursue whatever you're studying, then maybe you could start working in the meantime and indeed drop everything. Unless, of course, you have 1-2 classes in which you succeed, in which case you should work as hard as you can for THOSE classes in order to still have a few good notes on your report card

I have some good news and a whole lot of confusion. I went to financial aid to find out when the money would go onto my school debit card and they said that they are issuing a card refund on Friday, but they said they are sending it to a bank account, which I never even applied for. Because of this they told me to go to the bursar because they might be sending it to someone else bank account and they were able to fix some things up and they said that they were going to send part of the money onto my school debit card on April 17th. Though I'm still not even sure if they mean my debit card, I'll just have to wait and see, but its good to see that there's progress, even if its 3 weeks away.
