Hello everyone, Tyranit here for a review of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. I have to say that this is my favorite Wii U game that is out now, and it is definitely worth that $60 price tag. There are a handful of new modes to play in, such as Master and Crazy Orders, Target Blast, Trophy Rush, and 8-Player Smash to name a few. We have some new characters in Mega Man, Pac-Man, Robin, Lucina, Bowser Jr., Shulk, Rosalina, Palutena, Greninja, Little Mac, Duck Hunt, Dark Pit, and playing as your own Mii. We have some returning characters from Melee that were not in Brawl, such as Dr. Mario and the new DLC of Mewtwo. We did lose some characters unfortunately, such as Ice Climbers, Lucas, Wolf, and Pokemon Trainer. I will include a portion about the new Amiibo figures. Anyway, onto the review!

I give Super Smash Bros. for Wii U a 9 in graphics because the solid 1080p, 60 frames per second make it look like a very well done game. I appreciate the models of the fighters, assist trophies, and Pokemon. I also love the attention to detail that has been put into each and every one of the 700+ trophies in this game. The game pad play looks very solid, and has no delay, making it an ideal controller to play, and to play Smash whenever someone wants to use the TV. The beginning cut scene also trumps the beginning sequence of Super Smash Bros. Melee, which was amazing for Game Cube standards. i can't even being on describing the stages, such as the detail of the background in Battlefield, and the use of color in the entirely too large Great Cave Offensive stage.

Sound: 10
I give Super Smash Bros. for Wii U a perfect 10 in sound because it has a compilation of some of gaming's greatest music, such as music taken right from other games like You Will Know Our Names and Mechanical Rhythm from Xenoblade Chronicles, and remixes, such as Quick Man's Theme and the Mega Man medley. There are some originals in the game, such as the Menu theme, which was the best Menu theme in Smash Bros. history. A Club Nintendo exclusive soundtrack of this game is being shipped out soon, as the ending of the deal was January 13, 2015.

Addictiveness: 10
I give Super Smash Bros. for Wii U a perfect 10 in addictiveness because I can't put this game down. I have 8 other Wii U games, but I have already put in 70+ hours into this game, 50 of those being over my Winter Break trying to clear the whole challenge board and obtaining all 700+ trophies. I could only get through 100 out of the 140 challenges, and 400+ trophies within that time, telling you how long this game can take to complete. Some challenges do not let you use a Golden Hammer and these are some of the longest, tedious, and almost impossible challenges. I also thought the amount of characters made it more addicting because the more characters, the more move sets to master use against friends and players online.

Story: 3
There is no real story about Super Smash Bros., but there is a good theory that the Smash Bros. series is based off of Masahiro Sakurai's life. I can't explain the whole thing here, but here is a link to the explanation: www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_2OPd25FOw

Depth: 8
I give Super Smash Bros. for Wii U an 8 in depth because there are so many modes to play with 49 different characters. You can play through Classic, All Star, Target Blast, Multi-Man Smash, Home Run Contest, Master and Crazy Orders, Trophy Rush, the list goes on and on. There are also a variety of stages that gives off no boredom because it takes you a few hours to play through each stage with friends. There is also a money system that can be used for making the difficulty of Classic harder, getting into Crazy Orders, and buying trophies from the trophy shop. There are also almost 100 trophy cases to fill so you can look at your different characters at the same time instead of individually or in a horde of them. You also have the new 8 Player Smash, which allows you to play with more friends than before, but cannot use all of the stages because some of them are too small. They did update it so we could have 15 extra stages though. You also now have the Final Destination version of each stage, so you can play in the environment of each stage instead of having to pick Final Destination every time if you are a no items or hazards on stages kind of guy.

Difficulty: ?
I can't give this game a difficulty rating because some modes are easy, such as easy mode of All Star, or 3.0 and under of Classic, whereas this game can be insanely hard like Hard mode of All Star without healing, or 9.0 of Classic. There is no real rating because you can play it casually with friends and you can play it competitively online for glory.

Overall: 9.5
In the end, I give Super Smash Bros. for Wii u a 9.5 out of 10 because this game is nearly flawless besides some minor exploits, such as 2-Pac in team battle using 2 Pac-Mans spamming their Up recovery.  I love the new characters, especially Shulk and Pac-Man. 8-Player Smash was one of the best additions of the game, and amiibos, oh the amiibos. These figurines are collectibles for a lot of collectors, and most of them are rare that people actually play as, such as Fox, Captain Falcon, or Marth. Anyway, this has been Tyranit with a review of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and thank you for reading.
