Introduction:7/10

Metal gear Solid:VR Missions is  tactical espionage action in a virtual reality type training game that is only a one player 3-d Hideo Kojima title, that was created in the late nineties in the year of 1999 by the video-game making company "Konami" and it is one of the most best games of the entire old school series making its release just one year later after the successful video-game smash hit and 1999 game of the year "Metal Gear Solid" for the playstation game console.Metal Gear Solid:VR Missions is simply just a VR training game in virtual reality that offers plenty and many different types of different missions to complete in a variety of different weapon missions, sneaking missions, mystery solving missions, and eventually ,the Gray Fox virtual reality missions where you will actually have to hunt down Solid Snake in a mission being able to play as the cyborg ninja, using Gray Fox's ninja katana ,or your Invisibility. The game starts with a pretty decent introduction cinematic scene where it introduces a variety of different style missions that is throughout the game while showing some of the characters like Solid Snake, genome soldiers,Mei-Ling and Gray Fox in a action packed intro that i found really good and well designed by the creators of this game.

Game play: 3/10

The game play in this game is amazingly fun ,and quite addictive if you're one of a kind to enjoy training type video games. As you start the VR training, you will go from either stealth avoiding enemy genome soldiers or the survival missions where you will have to take out every single enemy genome soldier while trying to reach the end of the level wherever the crystal end mark is located .The game play is absolutely nothing different from previous "Metal gear Solid" in which Solid Snake is in the real world.VR missions includes every single weapon and items that the previous game had weither it's the cardboard boxes,cameras,c-4's ,grenades, socom, the AK-47,nikita ,stun grenades ,chaff grenades and everything in the game is the same controls such as the combo strikes, grab neck from behind/ throw,or choke, and also the crawling under areas where you can avoid being seen, only difference in the controls is that there is no codec .Also there are a lot of levels where you fight against no one ,but shooting down or blowing up targets in order for the crystal end mark to appear. At times, this game can bring you bizarre surprising levels such as a king kong size genome soldier ,and many other different types of levels.

Sound F-X and Music:8/10

As for the soundtrack of this game ,Metal Gear Solid:VR missions has a pretty decent soundtrack, especially on the gray fox ninja levels where adds a different twist of awesome ninja style music as a tribute to the cyborg ninja .The intro cinematic scene also a great part of the soundtrack which sounds like the intro of the sequel to "Metal Gear Solid" which was "Metal gear Solid Sons Of Liberty" for the playstation 2 made in the year 2001.To top it off with the music, the soundtrack in this game is well made and sounds good from top to bottom. As for the sound FX of this game,it's also done well, from the fighting action,to the weapons,to the alerting sounds and it's very similar to "Metal gear Solid" so if you like everything about the sound F-X in the previous game, you will like the sound F-X in Metal Gear Solid :VR missions.

Difficulty:4/10

In the beginning of the game as you start you will find that it's very similar to the VR training in the previous "Metal gear Solid" game because it starts with all the similar missions which are really easy by the way just to get you warmed up.But as you complete all of the familiar levels, you will notice that every VR mission you reach becomes more different and more challenging ,yet fun and not frustrating .Good thing about this game is that it doesn't become repetitive and always takes a new turn and a different twist ,which makes this game pretty fun and has interesting new modes as you progress through the game. So i'll say that the difficulty in this game doesn't feel impossible to overcome, but does have a lot to do before you get to the rare interesting different game modes such as the mystery solving, and the cyborg ninja levels.By the way in this game ,there are 300 action-packed levels to complete. So as you play, don't forget to save when you're done. It's fun,but not as much fun when you have to do certain missions all over again.

What i think is missing in this game, that i would have prefered to be in "Metal Gear Solid:VR Missions:

As the kind of gamer that i am,i always enjoy my games with at least cinematic scenes to go with it .In my view,it's making the story better and hopefully it doesn't sound silly ,but it's having it feel as if like you're taking part in playing a role in an action movie .Metal Gear Solid:VR missions  doesn't have a dynamic storyline unfortunately like the previous game had before, and barely has any voice overs, except in the cinematic intro scene where you'll hear some voice acting .But nonetheless ,i always have let that pass, since i do find the game fun despite the lack of a script .afterall ,in the beginning of the playstation, the first time i saw and played "Metal gear Solid" in a jam-pack demo c-d ,that came with my sony playstation the first day i got it ,i was amazed by the new way video games were becoming, and felt eager to play the full version of Metal Gear Solid .On another note,The cinematic movie scenes of the game did a huge part in getting my attention and has made me a huge fan back in the year 1998 .

My thoughts to close up on the "Metal Gear Solid:VR Missions Review:

Metal gear Solid:VR Missions is fairly a decent title, in the sony playstation one library ,and it's always worth a try if you're a Metal Gear Solid gamer ,who is just coming across these types of games of the past ,and just want to take a look at how the Metal Gear Solid Games used to be ,even though it's over 14 years ago that this game was made ,in my opinion, this title is not really much of a bad game .It always has replay value with me despite that it's not like the newer games, and still holds up today as one of Konami's greatest hits of the Metal gear Solid legacy of playstation games .Overall:8.1
