eliminator: Didn't catch the commercials this year, but since my women's history class had a whole day discussing this last year I still feel I can answer (because really, does the style really change?). I wouldn't say that I am offended per se by the commercials... annoyed, yes. But for the most part I tend to think they are just stupid.

bignatealpha: Usually the later, actually. Even the shortest stranger-boyfriend transition took about six months or so, and that was because we really hit it off.

What do you think of a girl who's really forward (not flirty, but just very outgoing) when it comes to pursuit of a guy? Usually this intimidates guys and quite a few girls since it's normal for guys to pursue rather than the girls, but it doesn't really bother me.

I've been the outgoing type before, so I don't really have a problem with it.

Again, it varies by person. There is no universal "female music" despite what people might think. Personally, I have rather eclectic tastes and listen to almost everything except rap, most pop, and reggae. My favorite genre is metal... though I tend to dislike screamy death metal nowadays. Symphonic/Power/Goth Metal is my favorite overall (i.e. Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, etc)

Dang, I've somehow missed this thread. I have quite a few questions I want to ask about women, actually, just to confirm some of them. I won't ask all at once.

First question- In your honest opinion, do you think females are worse drivers than men? Do you think their insurance rates should be a bit higher than men if so? I ask this because I've seen on the internet in videos/pictures and have seen for myself how bad and strange the accidents they end up in are. Some of the stuff out kinda boggles me as to how a female driver ends up in a bad way with a car. A video I watched of a montage of female drivers showed one in a parking lot spending probably a good 3 minutes to park in a spot at a parking lot. There were other cars in front as behind her as they watched her try to park, then pull out, try to pull in again, then pull out. From an over head view you could see that she simply needed to put her car at a better angle to get into a spot but she just could not do it. Finally the guy behind her got out, walked over to her car and offered to park for her. He did in it less than ten seconds.

So do you see yourselves/your gender being a little handicapped in that area?

Not in the slightest. Honestly, I've seen male drivers that are WAY worse than many females I know. I really don't think that gender has anything to do with it, and the video that you saw is just one way of reinforcing stereotypes. People learn to drive from those around them, the guy in that video probably took a driving class, the girl probably did not. Or it could have been a new car.

I live off of a one way street, I have seen a car going the wrong way on the street five different times, every time the driver has been male. Does it mean that all male drivers are bad? No, it means those five guys are idiots.

tr33l3x - I understand a little about what you mean. In this case I would recommend attempting to get her to talk. If she starts yelling, try to keep your cool and explain things to her until she calms down to make some sense. Also ask if she thinks there is some relation to those two random situation and mention you can't read minds.
One line my other half uses to me a lot is "I can't hear your head rattling from over here", that usually means he wants me to tell him what I'm going on about.
Also only some women do this not all.


Cyro - I think a large percentage of drivers that are on the road should never have gotten their lisences in the first place.
Mind you I think females tend to pass driving tests easier when they are with a male driving instructor, that could be why you see quite a few bad female drivers, they don't actually have to try.
About the insurace, i believe it's a little higher in australia if you're female, but a large amount of the fee for insurance is based on what model car and what company it's with.
As for being handicapped, females probably are a little, but I still think it's because the pretty bimbos get their lisences easy because of looks instead of skill. Thus making it look bad for everyone else.

Okay, I have a question for you. Why is it that it's okay for women to think badly about guys (example: that all of us are the same, we all cheat and will treat you badly!) but it's not okay for guys to think of women the same way? Shouldn't it be 50/50? I have experience with women and believe me they do the same thing guys do it's not just a one way street so why do most women act like it is?

Taken from weddings or movies with weddings in them, what were the best vows that were confessed that you heard of? I'm asking because on some movies like Tyler Perry-types, one groom had the most soulful vows I've ever heard in my life, and I'm wondering if similiar was heard, that...well...for lack of a better description; moved you.
