Graphics: 4 From what I have seen the game creator has used standard FireRed sprites, which is fine and dandy, it's just that I happen to fancy the Gen 5 and 4 sprites the most, as they have the highest quality. They, however, did a rather nice job with changing the hometown, besides the fact that you cannot enter your home, your rival's home nor the lab, which really is kind of, pardon my language, stupid. Also for some reason you can climb on top of the Viridian Gym and enter it, climb on top of the lab and climb rocks. Then there's the introduction to the starters, which is the same as the original starters, I would have liked to get the actual intro to Alakazam, Crobat and Gengar. It is also weird that when you select Gengar, you're rival, who would normally choose Alakazam, chooses Muk from the Pokeball containing Alakazam. Sound: 5 The sound is, well, basic, it is the same soundtrack, which I am not really complaining about, as it would be worse should there be, say, a weird death metal song, or opera. So I really am neutral on the sound. Addictiveness: 2 I really cannot say accurately as to how addictive something is when you can get past the first city. I would probably get more addicted to the game if I could maybe progress a little more than five centimeters into the game. I mean, it is great that Oak has actually evolved Pokémon, as he was supposedly a great trainer in his youth, but I really would like a bit more plot. I am nearly positive that there is plot past this point, it is just that it is feasibly impossible to pass said point. Story: 0 I am a stickler for a great plot line, and I'm sure that if I could give Oak his freaking parcel that there might be a great story behind it, but there is no way for us to know, now is there. So I really cannot rate it more than a 0. Depth: 0 You can literally do nothing but grind your Pokémon's levels on Route 1 and try your hand at the gym leader, possibly. I have tried to do something, however, that happens to be impossible. I apologize for sounding rude, but what can you do with a level 11 Gengar, a blocked pathway, no way into Oak's laboratory, and no way to Victory Road? What's the answer? Absolutely nothing is the answer. Difficulty: 10 I am only rating this as a 10 as the way into buildings around the hometown are extremely difficult and irritating. So, to be honest, yes this is a very difficult game, but, honestly, this kind of difficult, as in you are unable to even progress difficult is annoying to me and makes me more inclined to stop playing the game. Overall: 3.5 This is the game's average overall, and, I'm sorry to say, but I feel as though I'm being rather generous here. The concept was good and all, but honestly, the inability to do anything in the game annoys the heck out of me. I apologize for being so harsh, but I feel that this needed to be said. However, if the creator fixes the glitches it could be an incredible game.
