If you are reading this, then you are experiencing a "squished" look to your Sega Genesis video recording when converting the video using Freemake.  I am here to tell you that there is an easy fix to make your Sega Genesis video conversion look like it should.  I made a video on how to do this and you can view it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PzufAHv3f8

If you don't feel like watching a video, I will list step by step instructions.
1)  load your video into freemake
2)  click on the format you wish to convert your video to.  This will bring up the output parameters window. (MP4, FLV etc.)  I use FLV
3)  click on the "Edit Preset" (the icon that looks like a blue gear)  This will open the Edit Preset window.
4)  In the "Frame Size" drop down menu, select your resolution.  For optimal results use an aspect ratio that is 4:3, basically meaning the height is 3/4 of the width (I use 640 x 480)
5)  to the far right of the Frame Size box there is an "Adjustment" box.  Click it and select "Stretch the video"
6)  **optional**  at the top of the menu is a "Title" box.  Name your preset if you want.  (I named mine "Sega Genesis" for ease of finding)
7)  click "ok"
8)  click "Convert"

Your video will now look like it should when it completes the conversion.
