Historically, I have been very bad at golf games, for some reason, I could never get the hang of them, until I found this game. This was the first golf game that I was ever good at, and I actually liked it. Before I played this game, I had played about a dozen or so other golf games and I have never scored better than a par on any hole, in any of those games ever. I bought the game during the summer of 2012 with my first job check ever when I bought a PSP and a few other games. At the time, I knew that I was going to be terrible at them, but I figured It's one of those $2 games so I might as well get it and test it out. At the start, I was right, I had no idea what I was doing with the game but eventually I got better and better at the game and after a month or so ot had become my faorite golf game of all time.

GRAPHICS 8/10

Well, the graphics aren't that great, but for a golfing game, that is really just grass, trees, water, and sand, the graphics were just fine. The game came out about half way through the lifespan of the PSP, so there weren't really any limitations that could have hindered the graphical aspects of the game. It's a sports game, so instead of explosions, vast scenary, and detailed creatures, the game is expected to look realistic, and that's something that the developers of the game have achieved. Aside for a few smal hicups, when you are playimg the game it could look as if you are in the game. This is actually the most recent golfing game that I have played, so I don't actually know how much better the graphics have become, but for this game, I am going to give this aspect an 8 out of 10.

SOUND 6/10

When it comes to the sound of the game, I honestly don't feel that there is anything too important in this game. Games such as The Show, or a few other sports games do a great job with sound because they have a large soundtrack with various songs and great commentary among other sounds. This is true with these other games, but I personally feel that the sound aspect of this game has taken a hit. I don't really know, but it could be because of it being the PSP version or something else, but I just don't see any value in the sound. At some times, there's bad sound which irritates me, and at some times there's no sound at all. In fact, I don't even remember if the game had any music at all, and my overall grade for sound is going to be a 6 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 8/10

In terms of adictiveness, this game does have a good amount of it. There are plenty of people who enjoy actually going out to a golfing range and playing a round of golf, so just the sport itself can be adicitng to some, so when you put it into a handheld game you can play at home, it should pretty much be every mans dream, and it's kind of true. If you play the career mode, it's going to take a really long time to beat it because you would have to play probably more than a hundred rounds of golf and a bunch of mini games, but it's fun because there will never be the same outcome. Golf is unpredictable from one round to the next, so it has a good level of excitement because it's always new. On top of the career mode, there are a unch of other modes that some gamers might want to repeat over and over because the game may offer a high level of fun to some. Overall, the game can be very addicting at times, and I am going to give this category a grade of 8 out of 10.

STORY 8/10

When it comes to the story, it's a sports game, so there isn't really much in relation to that sport, but this one does have probably one of the most unique stories, since it's not really a team sport. For this game, the main story would be the PGA tour mode which is like a career mode in other games. You create your own golfer and then you compete in various tournaments and skill building matches as you try to win as many of the major tournaments as you can. The meain goal of each season is to win the PGA Tour itself and to also beat Tiger Woods in a one on one match. Each season contains about a dozen or so tournaments and many individual rounds and events, and the mode ends once you have completed 30 full seasons, so there's a lot to this "Story". There's also one other mode that you could say counts as a story, and that's like a team mode. This works the same as the career mode, you create a golfer, but you are also the leader of a golf team that can recruit other golfers and rank based on individual golfer scores. Like I had mentioned earlier, it's just one small story, but it's challeging and has had a lot of effort put into it. My overall grade for story is going to be an 8 out of 10.

DEPTH 9/10

As for the depth, there's a lot of it and I had pretty much gone over half of it in the story section. You can do two different modes where you can go through an entire 30 year career of hundreds of tournaments, rounds, and various events, and that's nowhere near half of the stuff that you can do in the game. There's probably another 5 or so different game modes for you to waste away hour after hour playing. Then of course, there's the selection of the golfers and courses, which is also pretty large. There is about 20 or so different golfers for you to choose from and play as, and then there's also about 20 different course as well. There are so many different choices, and so many different things to do, that the game is pretty huge when it comes to depth and because of all of the features that this game has to offer, I am going to give this aspect a grade of 9 out of 10.

DIFFICULTY 6

As I had mentioned, I have never really had any luck with golf games because for me, they have always been so challenging. However, this was one game that was actually quite easy once I began to get the hang of it. For the first 10 rounds of 18, which an average score would be 720, I probably scored well over 1000, which is terrible. That all changed though after a while, at the end of my first season I had won 6 of my last 7 full tournments, which proves that you can get good at the game as long as you practice and that you play long enough without giving up to get skill points to add to your golfer. Unlike the stadard sports game, which should be pretty easy because of experience with other games of that sport, golf games seem to reset after each game ad you have to relearn everything again each time that you play. My poit is, if you don't have paitence, and you won't bother putting in the time and effort to practice, you won't be able to get very far in this game and it's going to be very tough. My overall grade for difficulty is going to be a 6.

OVERALL 8.5/10

Overall, it's a really fun game that has a lot to offer, and it can offer a different experience each time. Up until I played this game, I hated golf games, but ever sice I laid my hands on this one, golf was one of my 5 favorite sports for video games of all time. If you are not a fan of golf, or golf games, then I would not suggest that you play this game, but if you are a fan of either one, I would suggest giving it a try, unless of course you have a newer versio of the game, then play that one first but make sure that you come back and give this one a try at some point. My overall grade for this game is going to be an 8.5 out of 10.
