As I said in a few other reviews of games of the same genre, I love building games, and this game is no exception. Aside for the Sim City games, the Metropolismania games are in my opinion, one of the best and are a ton of fun. However, the games haven't done too well in America. The first two of the games in the series were released worldwide, and then a third game was relseasd but only in Japan. When I first saw the game, I was shocked at how awesome it was. The cities weren't as huge and populus as the ones in the Sim City games,  but a lot more detail had been put into the buidlings and citizens themselves, and into the actual storyline of the game as well.

GRAPHICS 8/10

The graphics are probably the most notable aspect of the game because of how much there is to them. Unlike most of the Sim City games, which started with a birds eye vie of the city and then after each game started to get a better and better perspective, the Metropolismania games pretty much stayed with a street level view for the entire game. Because of this, you need to be able to see more of the actual buildings, and the developers have done a great job in making sure that each building was as detailed as it could be. It's not just the buildings that look awesome though, there's much more to the graphics. The insides of the buildings, the citizens, and the general map of where you are playing also have a few nice details that make the gameplay better and because of this, my grade for the graphics is going to be an 8 out of 10.

SOUND 7/10

As for sound, there really isn't much to it that's noteworthy. There's some random music and some various sounds, but that's about it, and that's okay. It's not an action game, or a fighting game where you need to hear what's going on, so intense sounds are not needed. My overall grade for sound is going to have to be a 7 out of 10.

STORY 9/10

When it comes to the story, it's just about the same as any other game within this genre, but with a few huge twists. Unlike other games where you have to spend money and place down virtually unlimited plots, the main way to get new citizens in this game is for your current citizens to "Refer" them. This hapens by talking to your current citizens over and over and becoming friends with them. Also, once you pass a certain goal that's put in place for your city, you can move onto a new map with some new features and then you start the whole process all over again. Overall grade for story is a 9 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 10/10

As for being addicitng, the game can do very well at this because of how much there is to do. Even though a city may never become as big as a Sim City city, you take a much more in depth approach to the city, which I believe is a clever new twist to the genre which makes the game more fun and entertaining. CIty building games are already quite popular, but this game takes it to the next level. Once you complete a map,  you may decide not to move onto the next map and end up building more and more on the current one just to get as much out of it as you can. You may even find yourself starting te whole map over again so you can try out a different look for the city. These are just a few of the things that make the game so addicitng and for that, I am going to give this section a perfect 10.

DEPTH 10/10

As for the depth, there's a ton of it. Again, not as big as some of the other games, but still packs a punch. The biggest aspect of this category has to be the fact that you can talk to every citizen in your city and even become friends with them. Another aspect of this category is of course the "City Building" aspect which is pretty much how you place any building anywhere on the map that you want and that you have full customization of how the city looks. Just those two aspects hold a ton of depth, though there is one negative aspect which takes away from depth, and that is the "Referral system" to get new citizens and how each citizen only refers one kind of person. Still, even with that one negative point, the depth gets a perfect score.

DIFFICULTY 5

When it comes to the dificulty of the game, it's pretty much split 50/50. Whenever the game is being played, I doubt there will ever be  a moment where the game is either too hard or too easy. The game is quite neutral in difficulty, though that's a plus considering most games in this genre are very easy and don't generally offer much challenges. Like most building games, this game has a super easy building side, but then there will also be a need for a ton of patience and stragety. Just the fact that you have to talk to and become friends with pretty much every citizen in your city to be able to build more offers a fun and rewarding challenge to the game without making it super hard. Overall, it's simple but requires work and pateince, so the difficulty of the game will be an even 5.

OVERALL 9.2/10

Overall, this game really deserves to be checked out, not just this one game actually, but the entire series is worthy enough to be played. This game, being the first in the series, had been a great foundation for the series and can be a lot of fun. The sequel is even better, so I am pretty sure that if you end up playing this game, you will be hooked to the series and quickly become a fan. I did mention earlier that the games had not done too well in Americ and I honestly can't see why that would be true. All of the games were a lot of fun, had introduced a brand new twist to the genre, and looked as though it had a ton of potential, but it didn't seem to work out in the end. Even with all that, I still suggest that the game should be played because I had a lot of fun playing it and I am sure that you will too. My overlal grade for this game will be a 9.2 out of 10.

To be honest, I never did like building type games. I always found them boring and just way too complicated for no reason and even if you did learn how to play well, the payoff and reward just didn't justify learning the ins and outs of the game. You have however changed my mind and maybe I will give it another chance, starting with this game, Great job.
