*Glitter*

It begins spinning.

Faster and faster, the giant ring spins. It's awesomeness begins to to emit a brighter and brighter light.

*Fwaaaaaaaaaaasshh*

"oof!"


In an instant a bright light begins to consume everything, spitting out two figures, the ring ceases it's great dance of beauty.

"I. . . . Are you okay?"

"Yeah. . . I'm fine, never felt better actually!" responded the other figure in this temple like room.

"Haha!" The taller figure with sonic like eyes helps up the shorter one. They both look out into the bright blue sky, for the exit to this small room lay in front of them.

"We made it!" Exclaims the taller figure.

"Yeah!" The shorter figure says happily as he jumps up to high five the taller one. The taller one then grabs the other in a head lock, rubbing his fist into his companion's head.

"he-he-hey" The shorter character giggled as he pulled away.

"Let's go check it out." says the taller figure as he walks into the sunlight.

As Mighty walked out into the sun, he closed his eyes and breathed in.

Ray stepped out, following his, "big brother".


"We made it!" They both exclaimed.

"Now, let's go find that punk and put it too him!" Says mighty, clenching his hand into a fist and giving a bit of a mean smile, it was more of a satisfactory smile then a vengeful one though. Mighty was usually pretty optimistic and good hearted, not as cocky as Sonic.

The two head off in the familiar zone on Angle Island.

Not far away from where the two head off, a certain hot headed Enchida lay amongst the scenery and the grape vines.

"Ahhh, taking this break is so relaxing. I don't have to worry about guarding the master Emerald either."

Kunckles was wearing sunglasses, he enjoyed spending his off time here in Marble Garden.

Rouge had always told Knuckles that he was a hothead, but that was only when things weren't going his way.

Knuckles- when things were going right that is- was very cool headed, and utterly determined to guard the Master Emerald. Nothing could phase him. Not even a . . . well . . .ghost?


Hmmm. . . .

"Hiya Knuckles!"

"Waaaaaaahhhh!" Knuckles jumped in his beach chair, nearly spilling his lemon aid.

"Remember us?" asked a jittery Ray in an excited tone.

"Uhhhh. . . " Knuckles lifts up his sunglasses and looks at mighty

"Yeah, remember me? Long time no see! How've you been doing?"

An angry expression comes across Knuckle's face as he begins to yell.


"I was fine till you showed up and broke my concentration! What are you doing here anyways?!" Knuckles yells at the two forgotten figures.



. . . .


"I bet I know why you're here, you're here to steal the master emerald! Aren't you?!?" Knuckles accuses.

"Us? Take the Master Emerald? NO WAY!" Yelled Ray.

"Okay, Calm down bud, no need to get upset, we're just here looking for a Weasel-"

"I'll show you a Weasel!" Exclaimed Knuckles. "Don't sneak up on me like that again, unless you're up to something, I have stay on guard you know.

Mighty looks at Ray.

"Oh, sure. . . I understand. . . . ummmmmm. . . . . ."

"What?" asks Knuckles in a voice not so angry sounding .

"Well. . . . if you're guarding the master Emerald, then what are you doing here?"

"Taking a break, what else do you suppose I'm doing?"

"I guess that makes sense." Mighty shrugged.


. . . .

Ray smiles again and decides to speaks up.

"But what about the Master Emerald? Isn't this kinda far from it's chamber?"

Knuckles grins as he relaxes in his chair and closes his eyes.

"Nope, I keep it out in the open now, besides Eggman already knows where the chamber is. The outside temple is a much better place for it, not as dreary as that cave either.

"But how will you check up on it?"

"That's, easy, with this!"

Knuckle pulls out a purple Chaos Emerald.

"Hooweee!" Exclaims Ray.

"Good job Knuckles, I suppose that makes things easier, doesn't it?"

Knuckles continues to smile with this eyes closed.

"Yep! and if there's any danger to the Master Emerald, I can sense it. . ."

Knuckle's smile disappears.

"Oh no! something's happening at the Master Emerald's shrine! I gotta go, Quick!"

Mighty and Ray look at each other.

"Don't worry, We'll help!" says Mighty,

"Yeah!" Adds Ray.




*Meanwhile, and the Master Emerald Shrine*

A Black Eggrobo commander pilots an Eggmobile with a Giant claw underneath it. Several jet pack equipped Eggrobos fly around the commander.

"Master Emerald in sight, 5 minutes until extraction is complete."

"10-4" responds one of the Eggrobos.

Metal Sonic flies in front of everyone else and lands next to the Master Emerald. This was a precious gem, and Metal Sonic wished that he could use it's power. But this desire was second priority. It was more important that he defeated Sonic and proved himself as number one. That was all that mattered. It mattered even more than obeying Dr. Robotnik. 4 Other Eggrobos land next to him in positioning themselves all around the Master Emerald. They all look up and wave at the Eggrobo commander driving closer to the Master Emerald.


Metal Sonic>>___scanners picking up something coming from behind.


Poooowwwww!!

Metal Sonic places his arm in front of his face as he looks away, a Red Streak dashes past him and knocks one Eggrobo into the other, bowing both of them up. The Armadillo then performs a forward flip in the air before homing in on the two remaining robots and landing right in front of Metal Sonic. Arms raised up in the air as one giving praise to the heavens, and a smile on his face.

"What are you doing taking things that aren't yours? Remember me? . . . Metal?"

Metal Sonic stands in one spot. Completely immovable and staring down the red warrior. A grudge match between this long forgotten foe would be desirable. But He wasn't going to show it. A cold stance was much more effective.

"Go on, give me your best shot!" Taunts Mighty with a meaner smile!

Metal Sonic rockets up, But this isn't an attack, this is his avoiding of someone else. And sure enough from behind him. . . Knuckles comes blasting forward. Headed straight for Mighty with both fists out and in a power dive.

Knuckles: "Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!"

Mighty: ._.

*ceerrraaasshhhh*

Knuckles has tackled Mighty and the two have flipped once in the air, Knuckles landing on the ground, and Mighty landing on top.

Knuckles: "What are you doing? GET OFF!"

Mighty: "Me?! What are you doing attacking me?!"

Knuckles: "I was attacking Metal Sonic from behind! and then he jumped so I hit you instead!!"

Metal Sonic makes a circle in the air, and dives down next to the Master Emerald. Flying at Mighty and Knuckles, and turning on his burst shield, he goes for maximum damage. Knuckles eyes widen as he tosses mighty off him and rolls over. Knuckles and Mighty both get up.

"You're not going to get very far with aiming like that!" Yells Knuckles at the robot as he flies off.

But the peace is all over too quickly, several blue lasers from more Eggrobo blasters head Knuckle's and Mighty's way. Knuckles looks over that Eggmobile with a claw attachment. He thinks to himself. "If I can take out that claw, then they'll have no way to steal the Master Emerald." Knuckle moves toward the vehicle and yells back at Mighty. "You take care the robots, all get rid of their thieving equipment!"

Mighty turns around so that he can hear Knuckles more easily, but he also catches a glimpse of Metal Sonic making his turn around and changing from flight mode to full ground battle mode again. Mighty stares straight at Metal Sonic. He hears a sound, it's Ray battling Eggrobos, he quickly twists his head to look behind him and then back and Metal Sonic as not to expose his blind side.


"Do it." says Mighty.

Metal Sonic Dashes, but he stops, jumps, and home attacks. Mighty counters by jumping himself and bouncing off Metal Sonic. Both fighters bounce backwards and land on their feet. Mighty spindashes, and blasts underneath a jumping Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic counters by home attacking Mighty right as he gets up. Metal Sonic is merciless in charging his downed foe, jumping up and power slamming down, yet Mighty manages to roll out of the way. Getting up and kicking Metal Sonic to the side, now it's Mighty's turn as he charges the blue metaloid.

*Jump*

*home attack*

*Bam*

Metal Sonic Is smacked forward and into the ground. "Oww!" Mighty hears Ray yell out, "That's not good" He thinks to himself.

Mighty thinks as he turns around. But what he sees stirs up emotion inside, an offence that cannot be taken lightly.

Ray runs toward one of four firing Eggrobo's. He jumps and flies, but the Eggrobo grabs him by the foot and throws him on the ground. Then all of the Eggrobo's aim their guns at Ray.

"Raaayyyyyyy!" Mighty turns around and runs toward four Eggrobo's and their commander. They all look at Mighty and aim their guns at him instead. "Get him!" Commands the commander.

*SKyoooooowwwwwww!!*

A Blue laser passes underneath Mighty's right Arm, giving him quite a scare, but this laser is not from an Eggrobo. It's from Metal Sonic.

"Already?" Mighty asks looking backwards.

"Affirmative." Says Metal Sonic as he charge Mighty from behind.


closer. . .


closer. . . .


closer. . . . .


hold on Ray. . .


Metal Sonic is right behind Mighty, Mighty cringes as Metal Sonic comes closer, he can feel his back getting all tingly. . . no. . .too much. . .gaaaahhh!


Almost. . .


noooooooo!


Both warriors jump, approaching one of the four Eggrobo's. Mighty overshoots one of the robots, and a single laser strikes Metal Sonic, knocking him down. Another strikes Mighty forcefully as he dive tackles Ray, grabbing him and rolling several times.


"It is useless for you to oppose me. Lie down quietly and meet your end." States Metal Sonic as all the Eggrobo's aim their guns at the two figures laying helplessly on the ground.

"It's never the end!" replies Mighty as he tried to get up.

. . .


"It is a pity that I have to kill such decent rivals so soon."

"Oh yeah, well we remember what happened last time we fought you, you stupid robot!" Yells Ray.

Metal Sonic clenches his fist and begins to charge his laser as does all the other Eggrobos. But Metal Sonic stops, turns around, and activates his burst shield. A huge yellow claw flies at the group of Badniks, destroying two and pinning one on the ground.

"No one steals my Master Emerald!" states Knuckles lifting up and empty Eggmobile and tossing it at the group.

Eggrobo Commander: "Oh snap."

Crassssshhh!!

All destroyed- except the commander, and Metal Sonic, Who has began flying away from the island.

Commander: "Mission abort, I'm getting out of here!"



Knuckles: "Well if you're going, here, take your buddy!" Knuckles picks up the Eggrobo commander that he destroyed earlier, spins around several times, and throws it at the fleeing captain."

Commander: "Why did I know that something like this would happe- kkrrrrrrssshh"

This Egg Commander's fate would be to be to become Knuckles Baseball targeting practice. Except he got bean balled.

Ray: "Knuckles!"

Mighty: "Thanks Knux, you saved us there!"

Knuckles: "Sure. You don't have to worry about those guys with me around."

Ray: "Knuckles Look behind you!"

Knuckles: "Huh?"

Knuckles looks behind himself, and he sees the robot doppleganger yet again. He was tipping the Master Emerald on its side.

Knuckles: "No!"

Metal Sonic pushes the emerald and lets it roll in that circular motion that so many oddly shaped objects roll in when pushed.

"Raaaahhhhh!" Knuckles charges the rolling emerald, trying to stop it, but Metal Sonic boosts, and upon reaching the mobile emerald's backside, he forces it forward even more so, rolling it at high speeds off Angle Island.

"Noooo! The Master Emerald!""

Knuckles faces the metalic copy of the worlds fastest hedgehog. Clenching his fist and showing his teeth like many of us do when we're angry.

"You lose Knuckles!" Is all Metal Sonic says before flying off. Though Metal Sonic could not portray any proper expressions, Knuckles could swear that he would see a cocky smile if he was capable of giving one!

Mighty and Ray get up, Ray jitters and brushes himself off, whilst Mighty just simply slides his hands down his arms removing any dust that had collected itself on him.

Mighty frowns a little bit before speaking to an enraged Knuckles. His duty was to protect the Master Emerald. At all costs. And Metal sonic had gotten the best of him.


"Now What?"

Oo, it started out nice... but then you went back to script style ;.; Why?

Yeah.

I forced myself to finish this one. I just had too. But tell, is that what I did wrong? Or is there a just. . . overall lack of flow to the whole thing?

I just find script style (Yes, it's what you described) a bit of a downgrade, especially when you started off with the professional style of dialogue. It was otherwise fine, honestly.
