welcome everyone to the review Hanagumi Taisen Columns - Sakura Wars. a columns game with Sakura Wars characters. the series never saw much light outside of japan besides anime series and a manga, and the 5th main game is the only one that saw an English version. The games focuses on the man called Ichiro Ogami who ran the imperial flower division to combat evil monsters and romance each of the beautiful ladies in the game. while the anime and manga focuses on Miss Sakura Shinguji as the lead protagonist while Ichiro Ogami is a minor character in the anime. so

lets get on with the show of a review

Story: basic story the fine and beautiful women wants to be the lead character in a upcoming play Cinderella where Ogami san is the prince. depends on the players choice on the ladies

Gameplay: the goal on the game is to fill your foes screen before they fill your screen up. you can alien gems in horizontal vertical or diagonally with 3 or more gems. both players has a gauge that can be filled by clearing gems on screen once the gauge is full you can use ability's to help you there are 3 levels with the ability helps change the battle outcome depends on the ladies or Ikki Yoneda who is the only male is playable. with his assisant Ayame and the wind division as playable characters

on stack ability gives your foes gems randomly(since that is random what color gems the foe may have to help or hinder them) a gem clear ability (the more levels it becomes it will remove a few lines for you if your gauge is filled) or a butterfly clears all the one color gems

the sound on this game is very good despite the voices are Japanese. but thankfully i am understanding Japanese to know what each character has to say. the music is used from the game (too bad its not playable on this site yet) still uses samples like the opening theme song

personalty i liked this game despite how hard it can be at times with its speed of the gems falling or the options for the ability's but still a fun game
