You know how your rival always seems to have a pokemon that is strong against yours? Well I was thinking about this and came up with a way that could make the games a bit more challenging.

What if, the Pokemon and encounter ratios for each grass patch and such changed based on the Pokemon you pick? This could maybe make some games more challenging. and maybe even for all the trainers as well.


What are yur thoughts?

I don't know, doesn't pokemon already have all the idea the world could offer?

If I have any single future idea for pokemon, that would be:
1- Adding a new type: Cosmic type
2- For single player mode, how about a rare encounter with a pokemon (no, I do not mean legendaries) that has "Rare" on its name and a fixed set of powerful move, also the EVs and IVs, and that pokemon cannot be caught....so the purpose of that pokemon is just a challenge.
3- NERF THESE ANNOYING DARK-TYPE MOVES (aka: Knock-Off, Sucker Punch).
4- How about an option in single player mode where if it is activated, the rivals acts as they were real players: the more you're late in an event, the more powerful the rival's pokemon....or if you had a battle with your rival, his next match will have a counter to your previous team.

How does these ideas sound like?

I'm not a fan of that idea. That would not necessarily make the game harder, it just means that the Pokemon you are able to catch would mostly be the same type. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not have a party made up of a Charmander and 5 water types, or a Bulbasaur and 5 fire types.

tgags123 : the Pokemon don't have to be of the stronger type, just a different type entirely and different ratios. Even if it doesn't make the game harder, it would still offer a different experience each time you play based on your Pokemon. Maybe even keep the Pokemon in the patch the same but change the ratios. The concept of this isn't really too far off from the reason each generation has multiple games that mostly have just different Pokemon. You almost have to agree that its the same as that, and it does work in that sense.
