Well now what a very.......... different type of game why because it takes 3 things that was part of a lot of our childhood Legos Star Wars and video games so if you where to take all those and put 'em in to a blender not only would you get a lot of pieces of broken discs and some chopped up Legos but you also get a fun and sorta tangy drink that's fine to look at but its also a enjoy experience when you get to drinking this metaphorical drink. so what's so great about Lego Star Wars The Video Game well sit back and read on and find out.

So the Graphics ya.......... the graphics there, there............ interesting as EVERYTHING is made out of Legos now that in its own right is something to be proud of, but ya everything from the characters to the bushes to the ground everything is made out of Legos that must of took a lot of time to do, they also when as far as to make it so that when ever you make something go kaboom (which is always a fun thing to do right) it explodes in a shower of Lego pieces that bounce all around like it would if you walked up to your five year old brothers Lego collection and just gave it a good round house kick its flat plastic face. Contradiction time, while the area of play is made out of all Legos the background to some places are not made out of Legos any area that is in a outside environment has a kind of sorta 'photo realistic background that isn't really that noticeable but is still noticeable, personally I find that the second game has a more noticeable background but hey that's just me. But all in all the graphics are really great and they are really unique to I mean not only are they made out of Legos but they done a good job of remaking stuff like the Droid Factory to General grievous's ship to the attack on titan I-I mean attack on kashyyyk they really tried to make you relive the movies in a more Lego-ish type of experience and for that they get a 8 out of 10 in my book.

Now its time for a Sound check, well to be honest if you've watched the movies or played any other Star Wars games then you pretty much already know what to hear when you play this game (A.K.A the classic awesomeness that is the star wars classic sound track) everything is a familiar sound from the battle music to the sound that the blasters make when they fire them. They also took the sound of I think its when in Star Wars Episode 2 when Obi Wan fights Jango Fett and they start to fall off the side of the landing pad place that there one and Jango does like a grunt sound or something or another they used that sound for Jango Fett when ever he gets blown into a million Lego Pieces. To be honest while Lego Star Wars doesn't really bring anything new to the table it also doesn't take away any classic tunes either and well the classic tunes are really good (granted there isn't really, as of this time any new star wars movies so I count all 6 star wars movies sound tracks as 'the classic' ones) and there's also not really that much music that actually plays during the game when your not fighting stuff its kind of music and I wouldn't go as far as to say its atmospheric but its something and its ok with me, and with it being ok with me ill give the Sound a 7 out of 10.

So the Addictiveness of this game is kind of like along the same line as Mario Kart Double Dash as in its best played with a friend most generally one that is like 8 because it might be a bit weird if you walk up to your C.O.D buddy as was like hey lets go and play a game with Legos in it. But back on point Lego Star Wars WANTS you to play with some friends and how do I know this well the instruction manual has a entire like 2 pages explaining how the game is better played with more then one person and it also has a part where it helps you explain to your parents that it would not be a waste of time to play Lego Star Wars and you know what for once the proof is in the Lego Pudding (wow I've made a lot of food allegories in this review)as in this game is really fun, for a short period of time that is if your playing this game alone but with friends you can have hours of fun and will want to pick this game back up later on and that's a good thing too because there's no point in owning a game and only playing it once all the way through and never picking it up ever again. So after saying all that I give the Addictiveness of this game a nice 6 out of 10.

STORY TIME KIDDIES ok so its a Lego game that is based off the original three movies that is in the time line of star wars the original like stated above but it is technically by release date the sequels to the first three that was released first (episodes 4, 5, 6)by they are really the sequels because they in the time line the last 3 episodes but they where released first so episodes 1, 2, and 3 are really 4, 5, and 6 by release but by time line aspects they are 1, 2, and 3 and I wont even try to fit the Force Unleashed games into there 0,o but anyways the game is based off of Episode 1, 2, and 3 (A.K.A Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith) so to rate games I would also kind of be rating the movies and I have no idea how I would do that 'cuz its Star Wars but well the way the game goes at the movies is that they show Lego cut scenes and they put different types of humor in them (hard to explain it would be better just to look up its 'tongue and cheek' humor up on YouTube)and they do this all without voice acting which is really neat because its like watching one of those old black and white silent movies but in color, magic, so to not spoil the plot of the movies ill just say the first episode involves a guy with a two ended lightsaber, the second involves well clones, and the third involves the Sith rubbing the Jedi the wrong way and ill keep it at that. And sense I grew up with the original which isn't really the original but is by the star wars universe, movies I only feel right to give the storie(s) a perfect 10 out of 10.

Pull out your little flexible rulers because its time to look at the Depth of Lego Star Wars and how deep is it you might ask well to get right down to the blocky truth the game is actually kind of deep in terms of what is to be found and unlocked or bought in game. In terms of what you can buy in the game with studs (the games form of money and not a attractive young guy) well there's some characters (like 50 or more)some special abilities and some hints and in the all of the levels there are these 10 things called Minikits getting all 10 of them in a level well unlock a ship that you can look at in the hub world (Dexter's Diner) some of the Minikits cant be found in your first time through level so you will have to come back and get them and if you compete everything in the game you can unlock a special fourth door and there's a little secret behind it............ Well as you can see this is for a kids game quite big, now the way I explained it might not make it sound big but if you play it for yourself then you will see just how much stuff you can unlock from invincibly to stud multipliers all the way up to a unlockable that turn your lightsabers into just a cup........... I force you not its in the game, there's also a lot of neat little Easter eggs in the game like chairs that dance and play the original star wars theme to a room that well once again plays the classic tune in a electro type of fashion (Lucas arts sure likes there tunes) after collecting enough Minikits I have found that the best rating for the Depth of this game is 7 out of 10.

Really.......... really? Do I really have to talk about the Difficulty of a game that when you die you respawn where you died at (unless you jump off the edge of a level) well if I must then well Lego star wars has to be the easiest game I have ever played I mean there is no penalty for dying or killing your partner the only thing that does happen when you die you loss some of your studs that can be picked up after you respawn so the difficulty is a laugh and that's kind of all I have to say about how 'hard' this game is. So I was kind of iffy about rating this part but sense you can die I decided that I might as give the Difficulty a small rating of 1 out of 10.

So after a small handful of Legos and food jokes I can safely say that Lego Star Wars the Video Game has a title that tells you all that the game will be about which is great but it also tells you what age group it is meant for and that's not a bad thing per say but for gamers like me who is more based around a nice structured story and character development this game doesn't really stand out as anything but A GAME COMEPLETLY MADE OUT OF LEGOS HOW FLAPJACKIN COOL IS THAT ILL TELL YOU HOW COOL LIKE MR. FREEZE AND SUB ZERO MIXED TOGETHER COOL YA THAT COOL (I'm sure there could have been a Ice Cream joke there but I decided to be the better man and not tell it) ahem anyways Lego Star Wars is just the first in the many Lego games out there so get a copy of this game and play it and enjoy if for what it is a Sunday Funday game, with bricks, and apparently a lot of food jokes (give yourself a pat on the back if you know what Sunday Funday is)

I played the ds port, but this seems interesting. better graphics, better sound, and all around better quality it seems like. I'll have to check it out!
