Remember Sonic Week back in November? Ah... good times...

Remember when I posted comics before the thread was closed after a 2 month hiatus?

Remember when relinquish022 couldn't do pokemon reviews and I took on the role of doing the reviews myself?

Remember me using CHATROOM!?

Yup, I haven't been doing much recently actually. :l

I mean I've worked on some reviews, I couldn't submit my timeline of paper Mario games though because Vizzed decided it would be funny to invisiblize my report everytime I tried to post it (it may look empty, but check the word counter ._.), and I haven't even begun my next comic since mid April.

Well just because I don't get on Vizzed doesn't mean I do nothing. As much as I try to ignore, school IS a thing. And there's always my expeditions out on the dangerous front known as YouTube. AND TF2 IZ FRIGGEN AWESOME!!! But overtime I've seen things changing my outlook on games, easter eggs, hidden religious origins, and of course freaking fan fiction. Dangit Shrek.

Now one of my favorite, if not my favorite game, is Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Now the story is brilliant, the gameplay spectacular, but what sets this apart from other titles is the FEELING.
?
Now others say Ocarina is the better and Majora is the black sheep of the series, but those are the same people who claim to be fans of Sonic the Hedgehog but refuse to be associated with anything other than Sonic 2. Hell, even when Sonic 4 gave them everything they asked for they just called it a SHAMELESS RIP-OFF, but I digress.

Now I like for games to be different. I don't want every single game to be an expansion of the previous. Series like Mario, Pok?mon, and of course Zelda can have many games like the same, but will also throw out something new like Ocarina of Time, Mystery Dungeon, and Superstar Saga. It leads to many different majorities who prefer whatever suits their needs.

Basically Majora couldn't hold a candle to the success of Ocarina since people have mixed opinions. The main bias preferred exploring two versions of the same world as either a young boy or grown warrior, both of which have similar play styles. There was plenty to explore and all the time you want to check them out. There were many stages of your adventure leading to the climax and you didn't have to worry for anything.

The Ocarina fans heard of a sequel to the game and expected a similar product, but the 2 could barely consider being in the same timeline. One over world that barely changes, and any changes that do occur are only temporary. 5 different versions of the same character, each drastically different from the other. The world itself is pretty linear, with not as many branching paths in each section. You only get a 3 in-game day time limit to explore, then you start all over again. Only 4 main areas and then the final battle. All the while, the threat of an ending world looming over you.

So yeah, sounds like a lot to take in. But there are ways to let it stay up with, and, in some eyes, possibly exceed Ocarina. All the sidequests give it as much playtime as Ocarina and you can always do something different every cycle. The time is well paced as the world changes around you. But most of all, it makes you think a lot. If you aren't familiar with the game, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. But for those who think they know the game back to back... what if I told you there's a whole hidden story behind Majora's Mask.

What did I say again in the 7th part of this... HOLY CRAP HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN TYPING ._.

Anyways I mentioned the feeling of the game, and I have found reasons just why you feel these. Back when I did my review on LoZMM I mentioned that hidden category I just couldn't describe. Well through months of looking into the game I found startling meanings for each part. And I am willing to tell.

Now I can't just make a big thread, it's pretty clear how long I ramble on, so a thread like that would probably be the longest thing you'd ever see on Vizzed. So I want to make multiple threads of each aspect leading to my "master theory" on what the game represents. Eventually it will all tie together into one story and will give a whole new outlook on what Nintendo is capable of. But only if you guys want me to do it. Let me know what you think of me piecing all the knowledge together. Maybe you guys can help support me through this too... I mean there's a lot to organize together. ()

So yeah, with that said I don't know how to end off the thread... this is awkward.

I am very interested in Majora's Mask and would love to see anything that you had type about it. You are right that different things are good for a series. Honestly, I am sick of how most all Zelda Games are a clone of A Link to Past with about a 19% difference.

Yeah, The twilight realm was sorta different. . . and I like TP. . . but they just HAD to reuse Kakariko, when they could have made some totally new villages huh? I mean come one! the map is huge! of course you could give the kingdom of Hyrule more than 2 little hamlets!

Wind Waker was different enough I suppose.

Skyward sword was different, but Fi was quite annoying, and all the other little times when the game had to constantly annoy you with little text boxes though you didn't need to be helped so often.

Plus closed overworld.

And where is that awesome Hyrule Field?

MM was fresh and new, the only thing that I didn't like was the cartooneyer nature of the game. But I loved Ikana and the step away from the same, overused map of Hyrule.

So yeah! Go ahead Mecha Leo!

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .
