A second Super Mario Galaxy game! I was very excited when I heard news that this came out. When I played it I had a lot of fun. I thought it was even better than the first game. However, there are a few people that think that the first game was better. After I heard this I went back to play the original game again and even watched a few videos. Ever since then I've been unsure of which game I like ether even though I was never able to complete the first game. I'll probably figure it out sooner or later, just not right now.
The graphics in this game are good. I don't think I would say they are as good as the last game though. I'm not saying the graphics are bad, all I'm saying is that the first game started out a little better when it came to graphics. One thing that looks good in my opinion is in Yoshi Star Galaxy. When you use the launch star after eating the giant plant, the volcano explodes. I think it looks pretty amazing since you're flying through the sky and then something explodes behind you like you're in the movies. Later on the graphics do get better. As an example, the background in Chompworks Galaxy looks very good while your flying in. All the colors mixed in looks amazing and what you would expect out of a game like this.
I think the sound in this game is alright. I've listened to some of the music. Right now I like the music in Beat Block Galaxy is pretty good. I don't think it's as good as Gusty Garden Galaxy or Buoy Base Galaxy from the first game. However, one that might come close in my opinion is Fleet Glide Galaxy. It sounds very inspirational. It has that tune that you will remember when you need to. Another song I heard and thought wasn't that bad was the music for Freezy Flake Galaxy. This song sounds like you are taking a walk in the snow. It's kind of slow, kind of simple, but I think it's a good song. The last song I will talk about is Spin-Dig Galaxy. I think it sounds pretty good. In my opinion it sounds a little bit like party music. It's not as slow as Freezy Flake Galaxy. I think that it's a good song. A lot of the music in this game is very good.
I find this game pretty addicting. They added more to this game which makes people like me want to play it more. The biggest thing they added was Yoshi. Yoshi made me want to play every single day. They added new power-ups such as the rock mushroom. This game wasn't as difficult as the first game which I don't really know if it makes it more addicting or less addicting. But there were a lot of Galaxies to go through and a lot more things to use. I think this game is more addicting than the first.
The story in this game is not all that different. But, this game acts as if the first one never existed. With that said, I will now tell you the story. The beginning says that every century, stardust falls on the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach sends a letter to Mario asking if he would like to share some cake with Peach while they watch the stars. On his way to the castle, Mario finds a peculiar, white star lying on the ground. The star jumps up and decides to stay with Mario, so he buried himself under his cap. Mario felt power surge through him and he learned the spin ability. Mario continues on to the castle. But when he gets there, he finds an unpleasant surprise. Bowser has become huge and captured the princess once again. After a quick face to face chat with Bowser himself he flies away and disappears. Some yellow stars call out to Mario from the castle. Mario heads over there to see what they want. The white star pops out of his cap and the other stars recognize him and yell "OH! Master Luma!' The yellow Lumas are talking about getting thrown overboard and other things you don't know too much about. But then they start talking about things you do know, like saving the princess. So to help out, one of the Lumas transforms into a launch star so that you can get your journey started.
This game is pretty big. It's pretty much the same as the last game, but it has Yoshi and new power-ups too. It has 120 stars to collect. But this time there's 120 more green stars to collect. They added Yoshi to this game, Yoshi is used to eat things and get them out of your way. He also has his very own power-ups. The blimp pepper allows you to rise up for a short time since Yoshi is inflated like a balloon. The dash pepper is used for Yoshi to run up walls since he runs really fast when he eats this. The light berry is used for Yoshi to light up the matter so you can use it like a pathway. The rock mushroom is used for Mario to form into a rock and destroy everything in his way when you shake the Wii Remote. Everything else is pretty much the same as in the original game.
I found this game to be easier than the last one. This was not as challenging as the last. They still had the Purple coin Comet from the last game that I couldn't complete, but it was easier in this game even though they had Cosmic Clones which are copies of Mario that spawn repeatedly and follow his every move. This game was not as difficult as the last. The bosses were easier, the stars were easier to find. It was a bit challenging trying to find all the green stars but I did it! This game is definitely easier than the last one.
After writing this review, I think I like Super Mario Galaxy 2 better. I just think it was a lot more fun and it was a really great game to play. I love this game. The graphics the sound, everything. I think it's better than the first.

That is a pretty good review in my opinion. I have played the game before, and you did a really great job at summing this game up. The gravity in the Super Mario Galaxy games has always been an interesting feature. I also like all the strange power ups found throughout the two Super Mario Galaxy games. Maybe I'll play this game again sometime in the near future. This is just some friendly advice, but you should probably separate different parts of your review and make it easier to read. Hope to see more of your posts and reviews Mario0908.

lucariofool : Actually, when I was typing this review, I put spaces in between the categories. But the computer I used acts very strange and put them back together like glue. Thanks for the comments though.
