Hello, vizzers! This is the prologue of my fanfic set in Archie Comics' interpretation of the Sonic The Hedgehog universe (pre-Geoffrey St. John's introduction), including some of my own characters/fursonas. I've made this first chapter a prologue because the next few ones won't focus as much on the characters presented here. Who's going to be the focus, then? Well, you all will have to wait!

It was yet another grim, gritty, grey day at the urban wasteland of Robotropolis. A source of fear and opression for much of the population of Mobius, few of the planet's organic beings dared to walk into it, fearing getting sick from all the pollution or being subject to the long and brutal proccess of robotization. However, some mobians didn't have such fears, and this was the case of the strange visitor who was peacefully strolling through the city's toxic dump.
   - My, my... - he said, breathing deeply. - What a putrid, filthy place. Towers of garbage rise from the ground, the skies are packed to the brim with smog and all water supplies are completely intoxicated... Hahahaha! I love it!
The strange-minded minded individual dived into a polluted pond and swam on it, apprecciating it's utter reek. He was having a good stay... but not for the planet's ruler.
   - LORD! AN ORGANIC LIFE-FORM WAS DETECTED ON THE CITY'S CENTRAL DUMP. SHOULD WE BRING IT TO ROBOTIZATION?
   - What? A living being? On that place?! That's impossible!
   - ANALYSYS STATES THE OPPOSITE, SIR.
   - I've secured that no mobian or mobini would ever survive going there without contracting a severe illness, so this intruder is a prime subject for robotization! Bring him to me!
   - AFFIRMATIVE, MASTER!
The tyrant was soon in his fortress' robot-factory floor, waiting for his SWATBots to come in holding the lifeform that was making such a buzz in his headquarters. What he got was the creature in question - a snappily-dressed, bushy-tailed, lithe white skunk - carrying two malfunctioning bots, one in each hand. He dropped off both rustpots carelessly, cleaned his suit from the atmosphere's overwhelming amount of soot and walked to the robots' fat creator, giving him a hand to shake.
   - Don't you dare extend this hand to me! I know you are one of those pesky Freedom Fighters and that your teammates are hiding! You came just in time to be the first to experience my newest weapon, the...
   - Freedom Fighters? Teammates? Exuse me, dear sir, but I have absolutely no idea of what are you talking about.
   - Hmm... If you are alone, how did you manage to deactivate my SWATBots?
   - Ahhh! So these are the famous SWATBots, the world's best stainless-steel soldiers? I'm very sorry, sir, but such contraptions seem to be overrated, as I managed to short-circuit them single-handedly.
   - You short-circuited them?
The oval one painfully squatted to analyze his creations. Indeed they were short-circuited... and reeking, with a thick amber goop covering them. It didn't take much time for the dictator with an IQ of 300 to find out that the source of both was his curious visitor.
   - Oh, pardon me for not introducing myself. I am Samuel Stenich Moufette II, although you can call me Samuel. I suppose you must be Julian Kintobor Of The House Of Ivo, nee Ivo Robotnik?
Ivo looked up at the skunk, his mind bustling with doubts and questions. His deep, suave, somewhat german-accented voice was completely natural, with no signs of fear or trickery behind it, which was very odd as all mobians who met him face-to-face were either terrorized or plotting against his government. Standing up, he finally shook Samuel's hand.
   - Yes. Indeed I am, skunk. Supreme Dictator Of All Mobius, you might add.
   - Oh, how could I forget that! It's purely my memory's fault, sir, as I know everything about you... In fact, I have been planning this meeting for months. You see, Dr. Robotnik. I come from far, far away, but I have always admired you nonethless...
Samuel began to walk to the building's main elevator, with Robotnik following him to keep the conversation going. Soon, both were at Ivo's command central, at the top of the towering structure.
   - Why would someone like you admire me?
   - We might be of opposing species - you being an overlander and me a mobian - but I think our minds think alike. We both are wealthy magnates building with a personal vendetta against nature with empires in the making, aren't we?
Samuel got a first-class cuban cigar out of his pockets and lit it up, further showing his love for pollution and fancyness.
   - We are not, Stenich. My empire is already 100% built, as you can see... - Robotnik said, observing Robotropolis through the room's massive window.
   - 100% built, eh? Then what do you say about this massive green expanse surrounding your city?
The skunk pushed the forest in the command center's digital map with his cigar as to burn it down, grinning wickedly. Robotnik was ashamed of talking about that matter with his very first admirer, but Stenich forced him to do so.
   - That... *sigh* That is the Great Forest. An enormous lair of all kinds of biological life extending through most of Central Mobius, still uncharted and un-polluted by my forces...
   - May I ask why? Afer all, it seems you have more than enough power to take over it quite easily.
   - I have tried to take over it many times, Stenich, but everytime I put any of my plans in action I am stopped by those rebellious rascals, the Freedom Fighters!
The mad tyrant pushed a button and a holographic slideshow of the Great Forest Freedom Fighters popped up in front of them, showing videos and photos of all of Robotnik's disastrous defeats. The partners in crime watched it quietly and carefully, especially Samuel.
   - So they are all mobians?
   - Yes. They and a few others built the Secret Village Of Knothole after their underground HQ became too big to accomodate all the survivors of my life-hunt. I never managed to successfully track and record it's location...
   - And your forces are completely mechanical, right?
   - Indeed. I despise all mobians... Except you, of course.
Samuel burst in laughter, letting all of the cigar's smoke accumulated in his cheeks out.
   - Ah, Ivo... Have you never heard of the old proverb, "fight fire with fire?"
   - What are you talking about, skunk?
   - Mr. Robotnik, I have a plan that will successfully destroy the Freedom Fighters and intoxicate the Great Forest once and for all! Just lend me your ears for a minute or so, and everything shall be explained...

This is good. Its really long and I can clearly see that you had put a lot of work into this. Keep up the work, I can't wait to see the next one.

Thanks for the compliments, Zanderlex! I'm currently focusing on writing an original story (which I'll also post here on Vizzed), but Chapter 1 is already in the making.

So tell me, what did you like most about it? I pretend to be a professional writer someday, so any detailed critique is welcome!
