Well generally you can play a full game on an emulator. What's the part of the game on Zelda where the game stops emulating, or the place you can't beat.

Yeah, you can. Unless you downloaded the demo, but if you downloaded it from Get-Your-Rom, you shouldn't have a demo. What emulator are you using?

Also, this belongs in Get-Your-Rom discussion, not General Chat. So I'll move it over there.

You know, you have posted this thread several times before.
As I said then, what exactly does the error say?
Take a screenshot if you have to.

Heres a link to the current version of Project64 if you want to try something in the meantime: http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=8230caedfa613dae014c5acc9fd54e51

Ok, that helps alot actually.
This error can happen sometimes if you use cheat codes or save states.

If you have used either cheats and / or save states do this.
First, load your working save with all cheats turned off.
Next save the game using the native in game save (accessed from the games inventory menu if memory servers me).
Quit the game and load the native save and try again to play.

I'm still looking into this error as it does happen for other reasons too, let us know if you were using save states or cheats if this worked. If not I'll keep looking

Random question, are you using the default Project64 settings and are you running the rom from inside the archive?

Emulators have 2 types of saves.
The first is save state, which you do by pressing a key (normally F2, F3 or one of the other F buttons) to save anywhere at all in the game, even in the middle of a level.
This is a special feature of emulators that the real games didnt have.

The second is native saves. Thats the normal in game save point that some games have, for example some RPGs you can only save in towns, some platformers save after every level.

In Zelda: Ocarina of Time you press the start / inventory button (whatever you have it set to) and then press the A button (again, whatever you have it set to) when it says save in the green circle.
Thats the 'native save' in Ocarina of Time.
