During the summer of 2013, I won a brand new limited edition PS3. At the time, it also just so happens that I had a friend as well. He was in my photography class last year and upon hearing that I had a PS3, he began to pressure me into getting this game. I really was not too interested in getting the game, but then he offered to help pay for it and what do you know, I had the game.

At first I did not like the game much because I was really bad, it took me three full online games before I got my first kill. I did not give up however, I kept on practicing and eventually I became better and I was unstoppable at some points. In the end, I wad glad that I bought the game because it is a great war game and in my opinion is better than Call of Duty.

What had made the game so awesome in my eyes was first the graphics which look so realistic. It just so happens that Battlefield 3 uses the same character animation system that Electronic Arts uses for its sports games. Because of this, the soldiers look much more realistic and are now more capable of "interacting" with the environment . By this I mean running, more realistic movements, and such. In addition to the character animation, each map is beautifully crafted and the graphics aspect deserves a perfect 10.

When it comes to the sound in the game, all I can say is that it is beautiful. "standard war sounds" of gunshots and explosions blend together nicely with the energetic music to create a highly dramatic atmosphere. Battlefield 3 has 2 separate soundtracks, there is the regular one that consists of 19 songs and there is another soundtrack for the Premium Edition which contains an additional 10 songs. Both soundtracks have been composed by Johan Skugge and Jukka Rintamaki and most of the songs are wonderful. My favorites from this game would have to be Fire From The Sky and Operation Metro. Though in my opinion, these songs are not as good as the theme song for Battlefield 2, they are amazing and also deserve a perfect score.

Next up we are going to work with the Addictiveness of the game, and like all bestselling games, this one is highly addicting. Who doesn't want to go to war and have the opportunity to shoot other people, especially knowing that it's just a game and that you won't really be hurt if shot? I know I would want to and I am sure a lot of others do to or else the game series would not be as popular. Multiplayer is where the money is with this game, there is just so much you can do, there are so many awesome maps to choose from, so many weapons, and there is so much more. In addition to all this, you can get all sorts of downloadable content to make sure that you don't stop playing. Then, after all that, you still have the Campaign to worry about. This game will never get boring and because of this, the addictiveness aspect also deserves a perfect score.

Now on to the story, which is one of the reasons that I now prefer Battlefield over Call of Duty. I played Call of Duty campaigns and I dint believe there was much to them. Battlefield on the other hand has just a bit more than call of duty in the story department and because of that, this aspect is going to get an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now we are going to go over the games depth, and like all games that have a multiplayer option, the possibilities are endless because one thing could happen in one game and something completely different can happen in another game. This vast multiplayer section as well as the campaign have a lot to offer and because of this, I give this aspect a 9 out of 10.

Lastly, we will talk about the games difficulty. If you don't have experience playing these games or you don't really try your best, the game is going to get really hard for you because you are going to have to be quick with the controls and knowledgeable of what you need to do. I'd you can do this, the game will be fine. As for me, I give the difficulty a 6.

Overall, this is a great game that you should not overlook. I loved this Game and my overall grade is 9.5.
