Record yourself playing through as many Christmas games as you possibly can. I've compiled a list of all the known Christmas games in the Retro Game Room so your Playthrough has to be of a game in the following thread:

Playing through the game basically means you start from the beginning and play until you beat the game without cheating.


MEGA Competition:
This is going to be classified as a Mega competition because not only do 5 people get prizes but there's also cash prizes.


RULES and INFO:
-Only videos uploaded after 11/1/2013 count
-You can submit as many videos as you'd like
-If multiple people submit videos for the same game, the user who beat the game the quickest will get the point
-You cannot use any cheats or glitches
-You can not edit your video in any way, it needs to be raw footage
-Be sure to let me know in this thread which videos you've uploaded
-Be sure to specify which game and system each submission is for
-Your videos must be uploaded to the vizzed youtube account
-You must record your videos with the RGR Plugin
-Each submission needs to be 1 video, not a video broken into parts so if your video is broken into parts, you can use a program like Freemake to merge them into 1 video (the only exception are videos that are longer than an hour, if you're unable to upload a video that is more than an hour long due to it being too big, than you can split it into parts but each part should be an hour or more long each, unless it's the last part)
-You must add your video to the game's page (which should happen automatically when you upload your video to the vizzed youtube account)
-Staff is ineligible for the cash prizes but can still win 1st and 2nd and get the Viz prize
-You can only use an external recording program (like Camtasia) for N64 and Sega CD games since they don't support video recording but the quality must be good and must still take a screenshot with the plugin of the game's ending screen as a way to verify the video was taken by you


Prizes:
1st = US $50 or 75,000 Viz
2nd = US $25 or 37,500 Viz
3rd = 10,000 Viz
4th = 5,000 Viz
5th = 2,500 Viz


Cash Prizes:
The cash Prizes can be paid out in a few ways. I can purchase a membership on a website for you somewhere, I can order something for you off of amazon, I can send you the money via Paypal, I can buy you Microsoft Points, Nintendo Points or Playstation Points and send you the code, I can buy you an Amazon gift card and send you the code, etc.


TIP:
The following systems support video recording: Game Boy Advance*, Super Nintendo*, Nintendo NES, Game Boy Color*, Sega Genesis*, Arcade, Game Boy*, Commodore 64, Atari 2600, Sega Master System, Apple II, Sega Game Gear, Turbo Grafx, MSX, Famicom Disk System, Wonderswan Color, ColecoVision, Neo Geo Pocket Color, MSX 2, Atari Lynx, Wonderswan, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, SG-1000, SuperGrafx, Neo Geo Pocket, SC-3000
*Requires you to play the game using Mednafen Emulator (you can usually access mednafen emulator by clicking at the top left of the play game window)


TIP2:
You may beat the game with another person but only 1 user can get credit for the video. So yeah, co-op runs are allowed.


FAQ:
Do you need to be in high score mode?
-Nope
Do you need to take screenshots of the games as well?
-Only for systems that you have to use an external recording program for which includes Sega CD and N64
Can I use an video editing program to adjust the aspect ratio of stretched games like Genesis?
-Yes you can
Is warping allowed?
-You can use any warp that was intended for the game
Do hacks count?
-Yeap
How do I know when I beat the game?
-Any form of "credit" screen can be considered beating the game
Can I use continues?
-You can use continues and continue codes, just as long as the full game playthrough is present within the video
Can I do different variations of a game?
-Yes, you can do any and every variation of a game. So for example, you can do 'Toy Story' for both the Genesis, Super Nintendo and Game Boy
Do MAME games count?
-Yes they do and you may use unlimited coins on MAME games.
Do videos submitted for the other competitions this month count?
-Yeap
Do videos submitted to last month's Playthroughs competition count?
-Yeap
If a game has more than 1 game in it, can I do a video for each game?
-Yes, if a game contains more than 1 full unique game, than you can do a video for each

Now that there are specific games to choose from, it's bound to be more competitive this month. I'll give it a try anyway, though. =) And the hacks on the list seem like fun! I hope I'll be able to actually BEAT them, though! There lies the challenge, huh?

Davideo7 : So with the game elf bowling 1 and 2. Would the noormal mode count as one game and elves paradise count as the other. Or is the normal mode the only thing that counts.

Davideo7 : I don't mean to nitpick, but there are a couple of things in the first post that maybe should be changed? =X

"Only videos uploaded after 11/1/2013 count" Shouldn't it be after 12/1/2013?
"Each submission needs to be 1 video, now a video..." I believe it should be "not" instead of "now", right? In that particular sentence, I assumed last month and it bugged me until I saw it again this month. It may just be one letter, but it could change the entire rule.

Davideo7 : Is it okay for us to use another video recording software besides the plugin to get a non-tilted version of the Commodore 64 videos if we treat it similar to the N64 videos?

Nickrj : I have a similar problem with .MOV files. Did you try restarting your computer? If that doesn't work, is your computer able to upload the larger .MOV file directly to Vizzed's youtube account? It would take a LOT longer, so I would suggest doing that while you're asleep, if it does work for you. (I've done that more than once.) You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling Freemake, though I've never had to try that before so I'm not sure if it would work or not. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. ><;;

EDIT: A quick question: Does "The King of Kings" count as three games? There are technically three games in it, I recorded it straight through as one play through. Do I get credit for each game?
