Overall 10/10
Okay, basically, I love Pokémon. I love the games, the cards, the figures, etc. Pretty much everything. Although, sapphire has always had a bit of an appeal towards me more than most of the others. The third generation of Pokémon in the game series is fantastic overall. The graphics are great, the sounds are phenomenal, and the storyline, don't even get me started! No that the personal stuff is out of the way, on to the review.

Graphics 10/10
Personally for me, the more advanced the graphics become, the less I like them. When red and blue came out, the graphics appealed to me greatly, and now with black2/white2, the graphics, though well designed, don't appeal to me as much.  this is why I feel that the graphics in sapphire, ruby and emerald are my favorite. They aren't too old to the point where they have no detail whatsoever, and they aren't too new where they don't give me that feeling of nostalgia like this game does.  the graphics show that when this game was being designed, a lot of work was put into its creation, and I would like to say that a fantastic job was done. Well done Nintendo!

Sound 10/10
Like all Pokémon games, I've always enjoyed the soundtracks. I love listening to how the sounds fit the location and action of your character.  for sapphire specifically, the soundtrack improved very well in my opinion.  the new music is very entertaining, and the sound effects for attack moves are very well designed.  I always appreciate a good soundtrack with any good game.  without it, I feel that the game would never be as good.

Addictiveness 10/10
Like I stated before, I love Pokémon. Always have, and always will.  the third generation is one of my favorites personally, and I always love continuously playing through it with a different team of Pokémon each time. The reason I find Pokémon to be addicting, is because its always up to you.  you decide your team, how you train them, what moves they learn, and everything else.  I can play through this game any time I want, and I can do it any way I wish.  you can make it as easy or as challenging as you want to.  whenever I play this game, for some reason, I cant seem to want to stop until I've beaten it.

Story 10/10
I love the story of this game more than any other Pokémon game I've played.  one major reason is the new villain team that you face; team aqua in sapphire and team magma in ruby.  I love team rocket, don't get me wrong, but the addition of something new really sparks the interest of the players. I love seeing how all of the new aspects in the game make the progression through the storyline so much better.  this story always keeps me hooked, and every time I play it, I seem to appreciate it a bit more each time.

Depth 10/10
Do I even need to explain this one? Its pokemon....thats pretty much all I have to say.  the storyline is decently long, and the progression through the game is overall exciting and appealing.  any Pokémon fan will understand and appreciate this game in its entirety like I do.

Difficulty 1/10
the reason I give this game a 1 in difficulty is because I've been playing Pokémon since I was 5 years old.  at first it was a challenge, but I've grown accustomed to how the games work, and I find them to be fairly easy. To some players they may be hard, but I can honestly say that I've pretty much memorized the storyline of this game.  I can go through the game with pretty much no difficulty at all.

to wrap things up, I recommend Pokémon sapphire to everyone. Generation 3 is obviously one of the better ones made as well.

P.S. In case anyone wants to argue this.... sapphire > ruby

I agree on everything that you said other than the difficulty.  Sure, sapphire is better than ruby ( I have a a level 68 Swampert) but how is every Pokemon game a 1/10 for difficulty? Morty in Johto  kept spamming hypnosis and dream eater. Try Pokemon Golden Sun. It's Japanese and if it's unfamiliar to you, just use Bulbapedia. I had to grind my Pokemon to level 43 to beat Lance.

derek56767 : Well, Pokemon games constantly get 1/10 on difficulty because there really is no skill requirement to beat any of them. None whatsoever. All it takes to beat any Pokemon game willingness to play long enough to get your Pokemon to higher levels. Get them high enough, it doesn't matter what moves other NPC trainers spam. You can beat any of them with no items used at all. Give an experienced Pokemon player a team of level 100 Pokemon, and the same team to someone who has never played, they both will beat the final trainers, and you wouldn't be able to tell which was the newbie and which was the experienced one.

derek56767 : I understand what you're saying, and I agree that there are some aspects of Pokémon games that make them challenging. The reason I gave it a 1/10 is just because the progression through the games is easy for me to do.  I've played every game enough times to say with confidence that, though there may be times where I need to grind or focus in EV training for a bit in order to beat an opponent, I'm a fairly good player at Pokémon games. I'm able to figure out how to accomplish the challenges that I encounter, and I am able to do so fairly easily.  I never said that the games weren't challenging at all.  I can honestly say that they are.  all I said is that for me, the progression through the games is easy.  and that's just me.
