Here we have another obscure game.  This is Wade Hixton's counter Punch.

What I know from the game:
I went to a flash boxing game site at one point, and it had a demo of this game, including a link to buy it.  The demo was pretty fun and challenging.  So Before I decided trying the full game on this site. I decided to check out some game play videos on you tube first.  Then I decided to give this gem a shot. Well for what this game is worth. It looks and feels very similar to Super Punch out in my case.  There are many things that seem similar to the two, but I'm not gonna waste my time comparing them. This is one of the finest Boxing games ever made for the gba, If not the best.

Graphics 10:
The game instantly has a Cartoonist style of Graphics. The Visuals appear pretty darn good for this title. The animation is very wacky, and it feels just right.  The characters have a lot of facial features to there design, that makes their appearance really show off. Like Rocco Mcscrub for an example. When you go up against him, his design. Gives you that feeling as if he was a evil garbage man.  There are of course several creepy Designed characters, Like Sweetness, Sweetness looks like a pimp, but the thing that creeps me out the most about him, is that he is wearing pink clothing.  Every character in this game seems well designed, some odd, some nicely done.

Sound 10:
The Sound wasn't all that bad for this gem. The music in particular was very well done with a rocking dark beat type of style put into it. If you don't believe me, Then listen to a theme such as Gus incubus.   There are of course grunts, Very funny Grunts in that case. When you get hit. The voice from the character Sounds just as he should, that's pretty cool in my opinion. My favorite part is when, you pull off a special move, and it makes one of the game characters scream like a girl, and No I'm not joking. The developers really did do that.

Addictiveness and Depth 10: before I Got interested in the Punch out franchise I was mainly playing this game. I spent playing it repeatively for weeks on end, and Would not stop until I at least finished it. But at last,  I ended up dropping the game when I came to the final boss.
Masters and players of this game, Know like "Punch out!!" There is various styles, and a certain pattern/key to defeating each character. It took me weeks after dealing with The sub boss Killa gorilla, to get to the main boss don. So that should give you at least a glimpse of what's to come in this game.

Story:9 Basically from what I understand this Goofball kid named Wade hixton Didn't have no talent. He was in a middle of a trip, but his car broke down. So he meets this repair man, and He offers to fix wade's car up. He drop's wade off at ol rusty's, and wade gets into trouble with Rocco mcscrub. Then he meets don and his acquaintance's, and Don offers him to be a boxing client. Thus beginning the boxing adventure of a life time.

Difficulty 10:  Like various other games, including boxing ones. The game progressives as you go further on into the game. By far the most challenging struggles I had. Was when I was dealing with Gus incubus, Mimi Li,  Killa gorilla, and at last the final boss Don. They intend to be very fast and very difficult. So you need to work on timing when preparing to knock them down, and unlike punch out. There's no Tko when you or your foe get's knocked down for a 3rd time. So regular knock outs happen at a random time. It'll most likely happen when you damaged your opponent quite a lot. For Main controls they respond quite well. They don't have any delay or lag timing what so ever, and if you played "Punch out !!" before. The control scheme is just like it. Expect with a few minor added things like hard punches using the trigger buttons, and special attacks needing to be purchased, before they can get used.

Overall: 9.9  Like I've said in the beginning of my review, this is indeed one of the finest, yet hardest boxing games for the gba ever made, it's challenging, but really fun at the same time. I highly recommend it.
