I decided to check out this game as the game showed up at the top of the Retro Game Room and the title perked my interest. I didn't realize when I clicked the link that it would be a Disney Game.

The graphics are a delight and take full advantage of the graphics capability for the particular system. While the game is filled with bright colors, none of these colors jump out in a manner that causes the person playing the games problems. Everything is also detailed and the game has a major color pallet as well as gradations. The sound is also nice, but happens to have this odd background sound that I can't pinpoint that comes up every so often that I am not fond of.

Both the graphics and the sound are reminiscent of Disney's Fantasia. For those not familiar with this particular piece by Disney the first in the series was a collection of animations set to classical music. They ranged from Pegasus flying into the sky, to mushrooms dancing as well as ghosts and other oddities coming out at night. This game is similar in the fact the different stages are each unique and it feels like you're traveling through various worlds on your journey to rescue Minnie Mouse. That's pretty much the basic story line... you're traveling through these worlds to rescue Minnie from some Big Baddie who wants to switch places with her. The game is a rather straight forward side scroll game that is straight forward in the path you want to take with Mickey.

Be forewarned though that you don't start off with any ammo to throw at the creatures and jumping on top seems to be an issue of timing as well as figuring out how each creature can be defeated without throwing apples at them. Figuring out how each creature is best beaten is honestly a task in itself and may require a bit of thinking. Despite this the controls are easy and difficulty level in the long run depends on how good you are at this kind of game. There is no major worry about miss jumping or miss calculating. It's more a matter of figuring out how to get from one end of the stage to another in order to get the most points possible.

I loved Mighty Mouse. Even though I didn't like it as much as Mickey's Wild Adventure, I still enjoyed it.

As usual, a great review. Short and sweet, I like it.

I like the parallel you made with Disney's Fantasia. Seems like an interesting enough game. I had never heard of it until I read your review. Thanks for posting friend!
