For me it's the worm boss in any zelda game- they make you wanna kill them but when you come to kill them, they make you wanna keep yourself somewhere in the place! Finally, their paths are haphazard...

Oh man... I don't play too many games with final bosses... but if I had to pick one... I would have to say the devil while you on Mars, exploring that cavern thingy. I am pretty sure it was DOOM 3. I just can not remember if it was for XBOX of the BFG Edition for the XBOX 360...

How about freaking green goblin. I had this plug in and play spider man game as a kid and I finally got to the last mission and to green goblin. Missiles, guns, bombs, stabbing, getting punched. I went back and played through recently and I claim to this day that he is the hardest boss I have ever faced OTHER than Lunatic+ Grima.

Don't know if it was annoying, more like frustrating when I defeated all the B&B's (Beauty & the Beasts) in Metal Gear Solid 4 using only tranqulizer pistol and tranqulizer rifle. The reason why I did that so I could get the Doll's and face camos from them. In the end it was worth the time and in some way it was quite fun.

And one who is quite annoying is the Fury in Metal Gear Solid 3, I was playing using the Hard Mode so it took me lots of time and nerve to beat him.

The most annoying boss I've ever faced has to be the archdemon at the end of Dragon Age: Origins. His health takes so long to whittle down, even using specific spells and attacks. Then he sends out his never ending supply of little darkspawn minions. I fought that dork for almost half and hour before the game glitched and the enemies, for some reason, wouldn't come around the ballista I was using, so I didn't have to deal with them.

Has anyone ever played Prince of Persia, The Forgotten Sands? It's not a great game, but my brother wanted to beat it (aka: I played through most of it) so I helped. Anyways, the final boss, "Rose Queen' or whatever, is the ruler of all these undead plant-people that serve as the enemies. She's extremely easy to beat, but very repetitive and therefore boring, but what annoys is what happens when she's beaten. Dustan(player) gives his life to a process he was trying to rescue, making her immortal and him, well, dead. NOTHING is solved and everyone dies.

The definition of an annoying boss would probably be a guy who has a really REALLY annoying attack pattern, like someone who just jumps sporadically at you or all around the area. That can be hard to track down.

I would say chaos 4 from sonic adventure the main reason is because you have to fight him 3 times and it becomes annoying and sometimes it takes a long time to pop its head out of the water

I think most bosses in arcade games are exceptionally annoying. Mainly for two reasons:

1. They're almost impossible to defeat.  Beating them would take an insane amount of power, skill, and time. It's as though they were designed that way purposefully so that:

2.  They are impossible to NOT defeat.... if only you have enough money.   Didn't beat the boss the first time?  Insert a few more coins and continue the game! Start right where you left off and continue to chip away at his health!  And just keep repeating the process until you've continued enough times to kill him completely!

I'm so glad that on vizzed, coins are of endless supply XD
