Before I start off the review, let me say...how can a Nintendo RPG get any better? I am reviewing an RPG for Nintendo's mascot because I thought this specific game met the standards of a five star game. Shigeru Miyamoto, thanks for this game! So now let me just say, let the review begin and enjoy the following content.

Story: 9/10

Finally we get an original story to the Mario Brothers franchise. I think Miyamoto decided that they were going to make an RPG, and the ordinary Mario story line wouldn't make this game interesting. But let's get to the story. On a dashing peaceful day at the Mushroom Kingdom with fireworks and cheering, Peach is celebrating the ambassador of the BeanBean Kingdom, a kingdom across the kingdom we know and love (I love saying kingdom!). Peach, sitting on her throne, watches as the ambassador and her servant walks up to her to present a gift. Peach opens the gift with scarce. It's a jack in the box! It spews out noxious gas at Princess Peach which causes her to pass out! Somebody's farts has caused havoc in the kingdom! The 'ambassador' just laughs with his servant and takes Peach while all the toadsjust panic. Now Toad goes to Mario's house to inform him about the news. Mario freaks out and takes his sidekick brother Luigi with him dragging him along trying to put on his clothes. Mario and Luigi run to the kingdom to see Bowser yelling at Peach and two toads. You find out that the gas caused replacing Peach's dreaded C- voice into explosive vocabulary. When she talks, bombs come out of her speech box (Frankly, I would rather have her explosive vocabulary than her voice). The ambassador, which wasn't the real ambassador has taken Peach's 'lovely' voice to awaken the Bean Star to grant the perpetrator power. The perpetrator was Cackaletta with her servant Fawful. Bowser realizes that he cannot kidnap Peach in the condition she's in now. He tells Mario to do something super. They all realize they must travel to the kingdom to battle Cacky once and for all. They hop onto the Koopa Cruiser and the adventure begins to the BeanBean Kingdom!

Graphics: 8/10

Great, now I'm on to a point where I have no idea what to say. The graphics in this game are top of the line for a Game Boy Advance game. Miyamoto wanted to turn things up a notch, so this is what came to be. An RPG with very good graphics. The sprites are well designed and all the art in the game. To be honest, graphics don't matter. It's the gameplay. So we have a pretty good combination here in this game. Good graphics and good gameplay. Like I said, how can a Nintendo RPG get possibly better? The graphics in this game will encourage you to play this game. I feel bad for the person who had to make the sprites. They look like they took a while to design.

Sound: 9/10

The audio compression of this game brings all the nostalgia to the fan boys. Like the sprites in the game, the audio will encourage you to like this game. There's remixes of old Mario themes, original music as well, the sound effects are, well some are from classic games, and some of original from this game. This takes the music of Mario games to a whole new level, and if you would play this game to hear the sound in this game, you would agree. And this RPG wasn't very popular so many people missed out on this game. This will make you wish every video game store had Game Boy games. I mean, come on! They're not that old! What's sad about this is that Mario has no dialogue.

Addicting Power Level: Over 9,000 (10/10)

As I said, this game has amazing gameplay. This game is very addicting for all Nintendo fans. With all the depth this game offers (will be explained in the depth category), you just want to keep replaying the game over and over again. With what this game offers, all of that is molded into a masterpiece of gaming history (I'm acting like I'm ranting about the Nintendo Entertainment System ). I honestly have no more to say about how addicting this game is which is sad because I love typing long and descriptive reviews. Well I guess I'm wasting my time. Let's move on to the longest category of all my reviews....depth. DUN DUN DUN!

Depth: 9/10

Okay, now that I'm done ranting about how much depth this classic offers, let me actually EXPLAIN it in the RIGHT category. Let's start with items. I'll start with the beans in this game. Beans are used for a new mechanic when you enter BeanBean castle. Outside of BeanBean castle, there's a coffee shop that is supposed to reference Starbucks. You use the beans scattered around the kingdom to make coffee there. You mix beans, use a singular type of bean, and the coffee gives raises your buffs. Not in battle, but outside of battle. Like attack or defense. Right after you acquire your cup of coffee, there's a cutscene. All of them involve the star Professor E. Gadd. After he tries your coffee, he will say it's delicious, and he will give you an item. One for each type of coffee. The items give you powers in battle if equipped. Only one bro can use an item though. The types of beans are, the Hee Bean which you get for replaying minigames like the arcade game in Little Fungi Town which gets you a massive amount of beans, Chuckle Beans which can be dug up by Luigi after you acquire a special move that is used on the overworld, the Hoo Bean, which is found from hitting invisible blocks, and Wee Beans which are dropped from enemies outside BeanBean Castle. Woah, woah woah. What about the special move? Well since you control Mario and Luigi at the same time, you learn moves that are used for stuff in the overworld. Those moves give you a bros move? Bros moves are used in battle with an enemy. You must press A and B in a certain order to deal a good amount of damage to the enemy. The Bros moves have multiple modes. If you set it to 3, no button icons will show, and it will not be in slow motion, but however the move will deal a lot of damage. This game offers so many areas to explore. All filled with monsters you must battle. In Hoo Hoo Village, you get hammers from two mysterious old men. They can be used in battle or in the overworld to whack stuff in style. If you go to the Hammer Bros' secret cave (They gave you the hammers in the first place, and they are NOT the Hammer Bros from the Mario games), they will upgrade your hammer. There is also two secrets in their cave. Throughout the game, you will get items that will heal you or raise your buffs. They can be bought in shops or stolen from enemies or gotten from ? Blocks. You also get, throughout the game clothes to suit up your Bros for action. Some gear will raise your buffs or take down a buff while adding up your buff. The battles in this game are basically like any other RPG. Someone attacks first, then the other attacks. You can dodge the enemy attacks unlike Pokemon games though. So let's get to the minigames in this. All of them are mandatory throughout the adventure. There is a border jump roping game, a barrel organizing game, the arcade game I told you about, and minigames which are hammer based games. Replaying them will result you into getting Hee Beans. Don't get me started on how much fun the minecart minigame is. Let's get to the button icons. A is to control Mario. B is to control Luigi. If you're standing next to an NPC which you can talk to, there will be a symbol where the button icon is. Press A or B, whoever is right next to the NPC to talk to him/her/it. Press R or L to switch modes. To hammer, long jump, or the spin jump. Now let me explain some of the thrilling areas you explore throughout BeanBean Kingdom. Tee Hee Valley, Hoo Hoo Village, Hoo Hoo Mountain, Hoo Hoo University, BeanBean Castle, Chuckluck (However you spell it) Woods. Now let's rewind to some of the enemies in the game. Some of them are from past Mario games like Rex or Goomba or the Snifit. Miyamoto must have wanted to put classic Mario bits into this RPG. Speaking of which, in Hoo Hoo University, there's a room that explains the ? Blocks from past games like Super Mario 64 or Super Mario World. Hitting them will create the sound effect from the said game. On an unrelated note, in this game for once you get to play as Toad for, like, five minutes...or whatever length of time it takes you to walk to Mario's bathroom. Yeah, I said it. BATHROOM. Let's rewind to one of the most unique features in the game. In the Koopa Cruiser, there is a photographer who will take your picture. That picture will be in the suitcase forever, and will be on your passport. One picture for each bro (And the suitcase will be explained later on). When you're getting your picture ready, the photographer will say, "Don't go pressing Up, Down, Left, Right on the D Pad to make any goofy poses!" You can do so to make a silly picture. Or press Right to make a manly pose. If you don't like your picture, you can change it. Behind BeanBean castle will be a creepy photographer that will take a new picture for a few coins. Now let's move on to the suitcase. Given to you by Toadsworth, it holds lots of things. You can equip gear, use items, keep track of your picture and coins, and see your stats of each of the bros. Coins are your currency in stores. You get them from ? Blocks, monsters, or people who give you coins as rewards. It's sort of like Runescape by doing quests for people, don't you think? No? Just me? Okay then! Okay, as you can see this game offers a LOT of depth. I will not explain the rest. Play the game for yourself. You probably got bored by this review. Now to the next category...

Difficulty: 6/10

The difficulty in this game...this game is honestly not that hard. You all remember GBA games to be hard, right? This game is remarkably easy to play. Easy boss fights, easy puzzles, easy EVERYTHING. This RPG is really easy, if you play it right. The game can be difficult at the END, but overall, this game is REALLY not that hard. If you want a challenge, don't play this. Just saying for the record.

Overall: 10/10

As you can see, this game offers good sound, good graphics, good gameplay, and good depth to offer. This game is pretty remarkable, and Miyamoto really did a good job and all of the over developers. This genius work is a masterpiece and I'm glad I could buy a copy of this game for my Game Boy. This game is unreal. Everything about it. This was a very down-rated game like Super Mario Sunshine. This game was hated also like Sunshine. Nintendo Power said this was the worst RPG ever. I highly disagree with them. But Nintendo Power always lies (Like when thou said in a 2009 issue that Sunshine was the worst Mario game to ever exist. I can't wait to review Sunshine when it comes from the Video Game Room!). Guys, I would love if you guys would take the time to actually play this game. You will be stunned by its gameplay, and this is why I rate the game high.

Anyways, I hope you guys liked my review. It took long enough to type. Farewell!

I thought that this review is decent, although sometimes your writing style is a little confusing when you are trying to explain your opinions about certain things.

Also your titles need a little work, but that's no big deal.

Anyways I wouldn't say that Nintendo Power lies, they state their own opinion. Just because it differs from yours doesn't make it a lie.

Also I think your "quotes" are misguided as Nintendo Power Rated this game a 4.75 out of 5 and put it 37th on their top 200 list of games released for any Nintendo System. So please be careful that your quotes are researched before putting them into your reviews.

Although Sunshine was a fun game it had a huge legacy to live up to with regards to the Mario Franchise. There have been a lot of GREAT Mario titles over the years. Just because it was rated as not as good as some others, doesn't mean it's a bad game overall.

As far as the game itself goes, I personally thought it was a fun game. Although I do think that they hold your hand a little too much while playing the game. (trying to cater to kids as well) Honestly it's a really great title, but it's the most basic RPG that you can get. Even Super Mario RPG was a deeper game than this was.

That being said, it's a fun series that I still enjoy to this day. I've just started playing through the 3DS version this week.
