This will not come to any sort of fruition for at least about 30 years. It is easy to introduce mutations into life forms, but controlling the outcome is much harder. There are so many subteltys in genetics, so many recursive genes, parts of the anatomy we dont even understand, the idea we can just cut and paste in "furry dna" is really laughable.

Saying "the project is going very well" and "ready to start doing the research" are 2 completely different things. The first one says they have already started the research and having some form of succession. I can't see this taking off. The amount of funding needed to try and accomplish something like that is beyond reckoning, and I think very hardcore furries are too much of a niche fandom to raise the funds and convince scientists that this would benefit human society.

I'm a furry, personally I'll settle for wearing a fursuit or partial animal costume. At the end of the day I'm a human girl who doesn't have fox ears. I've come to accept that. ;D
