You guys should know that I like reviewing hacks, cause, they are fun to review whenever I am out of other games here on vizzed to review, As you know, I have reviewed about 3 or so hacks on this website by now, I reviewed somari for NES, super donkey Kong for genesis, and Super Mario world for the genesis, with only 2 of those games actually being any fun, now I have a fourth one to review, and this one is Sonic megamix for the Sega genesis. Let's hope this will be fun!

Story-7/10
Like the last few hacks I reviewed, I can't really explain the story because It is not really told in the game itself, But here is one I made up, sonic is on vacation, and eggman wants to kidnap all the creatures of the forest again, But this time sonic has two more allys helping him, shadow and espio, It is now up to the three to sae the forest!

Gameplay-7/10
The gameplay in this game feels just like the older sonic games for the genesis, except there are a few differences, The first is that you can now play as 3 characters instead of just one! And those characters include Sonic, shadow, and some other guy that looks like espio, Each of the three control very differently, Sonic controls just like he did in the first game, Shadow can use chaos control, and espio can hang on walls. Oh yeah, another is that you can actually home attack your enemies! So as for the actual gameplay, It is pretty fun! It plays like traditional sonic games, but with those new things included, there are about more then 5 levels in the game, each with one boss at the end, the bosses are pretty hard and will take some skill to beat. The game brings alot of things back from the first titles, such as the classic item boxes, rings, challenging bosses, etc. So yeah, that is It for the gameplay.

Graphics-8/10
The graphics in this game are believe it or not, really good! All the environments feel like sonic, look like sonic, and just have that awesome sonic feel! All levels you will be exploring are big, colorful, and a blast to explore. As for the characters themselves, they look OK as well, Sonic looks fine, shadow looks fine, espio looks fine, and so on. The HUD in the game is pretty self explanatory, It shows you your score, how many rings you have, and how many lives you have left until game over.

Sound-7/10
The music has been a main highlight of the sonic games since day one, and this is no exception! All the songs you will be hearing in each level is bright, happy, and really sounds like something you would hear in sonic! As for the sound effects, they are pretty good as well! You get boings, booms, and even that classic home attack sound from the sonic adventure titles! Never once has the music given me trouble at all.

Addictiveness-7/10
Is this a game I am going to play again? Um...I guess, the game has actually alot of charm that makes me want to come back to it again! Like the fact that there are 3 playable characters to play as in the game total, And that is a plus! It adds more "Depth to the game itself!

The game is pretty long and It offers quite alot to do considering It is a pirate game! First of all, like I have said a million times in this review, the game offers three characters to play as, second, I know I haven't mentioned this, But the game also offers a classic and original mode, But it just changes the level design, And third, the game is over 7 levels long, so the game will probably take you 2-3 hours to beat.

Difficulty-5/10
In my honest opinion, The game is actually quite easy! Never did I have any problems trying to get through certain levels, and that is for the best, But the game could've had more difficulty to it, But for what It is worth, It is ok.

This game is a must-play for anybody who is new pirate games, I mean the game has charm, depth, fun, and everything else you come to expect from a sonic game! I gave this game a 8.0 because those clear reasons right there, so play this game now! You won't regret it at all! Which is great! This has been RedHotToddy, and I am signing off!
