Namco Museum Vol.1

The first in the series of Namco Museum games for PlayStation features 7 Namco games and a virtual Namco Museum with promo displays for each game.

The first game in this volume is the original Pac-Man, a simple easy dot munching Namco classic. The instructions are simple; Pac-Man must eat all the dots in the maze while dodging Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, the ghost monsters. If Pac-man touches a ghost he dies but, while Pac-man does get killed if he touches a ghost he can also gobble up a power pellet that allows him to munch the ghosts.

The second game in this collection is Rally-X. The instructions are simple like Pac-man. You drive a car through a maze while collecting flags and dodging other cars that make you crash. You do have a power though, a smoke cloud to slow the other cars down. Get all the flags in a stage to move to the next. Next, Rally-X’s sequel, New Rally-X. The play is the same as the original game; get all the flags while avoiding the other cars.

The third game in this retro set is Namco’s Galaga. This game is fairly easy but hard at times; you’re put in control of a spaceship to shoot the pesky galagas.  After they all fly in, they start flying down trying to bomb your ship. You can get a dual ship by letting the green alien catch your ship and by shooting it as he comes down. Beware; getting a dual ship takes a life. When you defeat two stages you get to a challenging stage where the galagas fly around in 4 different patterns of 10 each.  If you shoot all 40 you get a 10,000 point bonus.  The next challenging stage is in three levels and so on.

The fourth title in this set is Pole Position, a simple racing title. Race and try to get back to the finish line before time runs out.

The next game is Bosconian, a shooter similar to asteroids.  Your ship has to shoot green enemy ships to advance to the next level.

The final game in the set is Toy Pop, which is simple to play but, hard to master.  You take control of Pino to save your friends while defeating different types of enemies with powers you find in the gift boxes found in each level. The game can also be played multi-player with a friend who controls Acha.

The virtual museum features box art, manuals, promo pictures, and more.  Each game has its own room with special promo exhibits.  The game spawned 4 more sequels as Vol. 2, 3, 4, and 5. There was also a Japan only Namco Museum Encore. The 5 volumes spell out Namco with Vol. 1 being N, 2 being A, 3 being M, 4 being C, and 5 being O.

Anyone who enjoys the original arcade versions of these classics will enjoy playing them at home on their PlayStation.

Almost the entire review was just about what each game is like! You should have either gotten rid of all that information or put it in the depth category.

Unlike the game descriptions you told, the categories weren't very descriptive. Be more descriptive in your next review. After reading the whole review I'm starting to think those game descriptions were plagiarized. You can get banned for plagiarizing so if that was plagiarism, don't ever do that again. Staff can look at game reviews and get suspicious and search online to see if it was copied.

Finally, you should've separated the review into paragraphs instead of it being one giant paragraph. See how I separated this post into paragraphs to make it easier to read? That's what professional game reviewers do.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to help you become a better game reviewer.

Not a bad review. Actually pretty good. But like PacmanandMariofan said, a little more organization is important. Keep writing reviews, just try to make it a little neater.
