If the title didn't give it away. I have been very sad recently.
My dog died of a stroke this past week. She already had problems so my grandmother took her.
Within one hour of my grandmother taking her, she died. I have no dogs left to love. My dad said we may or may not get a kitten in the future.

I've had something similar to that happen to me before. A dog I used to have suddenly was not eating or drinking or going outside. She just laid there on a pillow. She was breathing really fast and really heavy and we took her to an animal hospital. They did a lot of treatments and she still didn't make it. By the way, cats are really good pets to get. They may be lazy, but they're great pets. They're very chatty and they like to rub on everything especially people's legs.

Well, my cat passed a few months ago and I felt horrible because the night before I was yelling at her because she snuck into my room. It was extremely sad though because she decided to lay on my shoes as a way of showing she loved me and passed peacefully on my shoes. Then when she died my other cat curled up next to her as if begging her not to go. It was sooo sad.

thats the problem with pets, half them die within 10 or 20 years and you have to watch them pass. my dogs getting on and it saddens me that hes not going to be with me for even a fifth of my life, hes a big part of it.
at least its not suffering now. I imagine that if my dog got like that id have it put down, its what I would want if the roles were switched.
you should persuade your dad to get another pet. it will never replace the one you had but it will take your mind off it.

Dude, that sucks, It really does. I plan on getting two puppies, one small, one medium sized dog, and a kitten and a pet that I can keep in a cage, like a gerbil or something. If they get hurt, or die... I won't be able to take it. I will be so devastated. I know how you feel.
