Introduction: Hello everyone, Time to make another review, this game is a sonic The hedgehog one hack. So what would happen If Mario Ventured into Sonic's world and Left him A mega Mushroom, and Sonic would happen to eat it? That was a question nobody asked, but the creator of this Hack had came up with an answer, and that answer is this Hack right here, Sonic the Hedgehog Mega Mushroom edition. This game is a decent hack, but it has a lot of cons, and well in general How does this hack turn out? Find out in this review of it.

Graphics:
Okay since this game doesn't bare much from the original sonic the hedgehog game. I'll go ahead and get to the basic's. The Sprites of the game, Well the Main character, Sonic has been stretched out and resized, to a really huge size. Other besides that All other enemies like the bee that shoots you, The robotic crabs, and everything else Etc, has been left the same size format as they were in the original game.(backgrounds/stages: If anything What do you see missing in the backgrounds? Yep that's right. All the stage elements have been completely removed. Why they are removed you ask? It's a simple task that I believe, that the creator of this hack had to do. I'm guessing the creator of this hack, Knew in order to resize sonic and make nothing appear in front of sonic's face or anything, He would have to remove the elements, So that's why there is no Clouds In green hill zone, no Tower or whatever things, that are in Marble hill zone. And in other words yea.. No elements During through All of the stages, Other besides that they still have. There basic Flooring element, You know the basic grass, Along with the trees and other stuff etc. The real only complain about the changes is that the main character is pretty badly pixelated. And I mean it's really noticeable. Graphics rating eight out of ten

Sound: The sound wasn't Changed at all, So I'll keep the sound rating based on the original sonic the hedgehog game. Since the sound is the same, you still have all of you're basic Classic Jumping sounds, Along with that Sweet and well composed soundtrack that was in the original game, The sound effects weren't too shabby. Because like all other basic games during the time of sonic the hedgehog, It basically had a whole lot of jumping sounds, That sounded really well made with the genesis chip. Because It was decent not hard on the ears and not scratchy sounding like some other genesis games, I just really enjoyed the sound from within this game. (Soundtrack: This game had a lot of original catchy Music that sounded great, Like Green hill marble zone, And Really it just fitted within the characters, the backgrounds very well, due to the design of the stages and the look and feel of them. Sound rating ten out of ten.

Addictiveness: This hack is pretty fun to play, if you are bored, and just looking to mess around with something, But in most cases I Would probably play the original game. My main addictiveness Would have to be the game play, But of course always getting through the level, without any challenge, can get pretty boring. Addictiveness four out of ten.

Story: Dr Eggman Had Captured And taken a lot of Forest Animals, and Turned them into robots from within capsules, And he still continues to do that, and as well take Sonic down, So it is up to you to destroy all the robotic creatures, save the animals and defeat Dr Eggman. Story rating six out of ten.

Depth: The Depth of this hack Is unfortunately A short possibility, Why is it such a short possibility? Because of the Cons of this game, Let's just say that there is a lot of chances of this game crashing clutching and or freezing on you, Due to how big the character is, So sometimes you can't even get through green hill zone act 1 without the game freezing, Depth rating three out of ten.

Difficulty: Like I said In addictiveness this game can get boring because of the easy charm this game has, and that's because the creator didn't only change the sprites, he also Modded the game play, Were you can almost Never Die. Try jumping in spikes and waiting for a enemy to hit you, you Won't take No damage at all due to Sonic being so huge and invincible. Difficulty one out of ten. Very easy game.

Overall This hack isn't bad at all. To end this review I'll go ahead and use the pros and cons

Pros This game can somewhat be good for practicing, if you are trying to beat the actual original game.

Cons: Lots of chances of crashing glitching or freezing
A very short chance to enter and pass through each of the levels. Due to what I said above. This game probably can't be beaten unless you know and use the level cheat code.

Great review Crash. I had no trouble reading it. I have played quite a few Sonic hacks and I have yet to find one that really blows me away. I don't think this is going to do it for me but I will give it a play since you were nice enough to write this.
