well, first, you have to go down to stairs at your room to see your mother, she will give you your pokeGEAR. then, go outside by the door.

left of you house, there is a another house, bigger than the others, that is prof Elm's lab. go in, and he will give you your stater.(it is the building with a guy with red hair at the left, who looks like he is peeking)
