Darkpower508 :   Where would a lot of money in your pocket fly if you suddenly jolted to 90 degrees? I think it's just a detail. The coins in Coin Battle bear a very similar resemblance to real-world currency. The strongest example I remember is there being straight up loonies ($1 coin) in Brawl. The coins that Mario drop have the same look as the one that appear when he does his Super Jump Punch (Up + Special).
Also, Sonic loses money when he's hit. Not Mario. If you watch that segment over and over, you can see Mario fluidly move with the blade as it moves over him. If it hit, I think his expression would look more pained. His face looks more "That was close!"

bossrunner : You know, I really really hate to admit it, but you are right. He did dodge the attack. Looking at it again, he did annoyingly narrowly miss it. Indeed, I thought the coins produced was a notification of being hit, so why was that there? To make the dodge look more spectacular? In the game, I know Mario only grows shorter, and that Sonic looses his rings upon hit (which never really happened in the Brawl game aside from the coin match), but yeah, it probably is just detail... :l

I would love Mega Man in Super Smash Bros because of his lack of attention in the last few years. I am going to play as him a ton when the game comes out.

Mega Man in Smash is the greatest. Screw you Samus. Especially his final smash it's like a Mega Man reunion.

Although I am not a die hard fan of Megaman, I am glad to see him in the Super Smash Bros series. It's always nice and awesome to see more other different characters from other games . 

I may be late to the party, but this was a really great article, really loved the detail. By the way, have you played the demo? How do like how Megaman handles.

thelastrequim : I find he works very well at the moment. I haven't had much chance to hone my skills yet, but he so far seems the most varied character in the demo, which I like. I am also pleased with how many move he can execute and I do love the references as a mega man fan. I will probably make him my main.

Darkpower508 : I actually fell in love with this iteration of  Pikachu in the demo, and have gotten pretty good with him. I'd use Mega Man more, except I know quite a few people who'll main him, so I try to find his weaknesses. Mega's handling feels strange at first, but once you master the up-B and charge blast, he's definitely a force to be reckoned with. I predict top seven in the tier list at least.

Darkpower508 : I don't know if this has been answered or not, but yellow devil was revealed as a level hazard at E3 during the SSB tournament. He materializes and attacks the fighters from time to time in the Wiley stage(?).

Eirinn : Yeah, I saw that. Since I have faced the Yellow Devil a fair few number of times while completing the first Mea Man Classic game, I shouldn't have too much trouble exploiting it's dangers with people that have not experienced this irritating boss.  Then again, we won't really know how that will handle with a free for all battle royal going on as well as several yellow blobs flying in a direction. Plus the pattern could be different/random.

Very awesome article, very well put together, subtle yet direct and to the point. Very thought provoking. All I can say is MEGA MAN!!!!!!!! Such a classic game, and such an iconic figure, with such a cult following it's truly sad though the non love this series is being showed. Mega Man is such an under dog it ain't funny, it's truly sad really. It's a very great series. But I am preaching to the choir here I can tell you like the series as well. I am glad he is coming back and especially in the Super Smash Brothers game. I know I will play as him. I am glad they are showing love to such an iconic figure really. He is one of the forefathers in my opinion in the history of gaming. I mean there are not too many people who have no idea who Mega Man is, even just casual people have heard his name in passing. I would rank him up with Mario, and Sonic.The little blue bomber man hopefully will make a hardcore return that will start up his series again I am still waiting for Legends 3 I know it's wishful thinking, but come on baby I know it's happening someday.
